Please fix dungeon finder so i dont have to join a dungeon where half the bosses for pledge is finished. Also remove that annoying penalty for ditching a dungeon where half the bosses are dead. This is a huge problem especially with events like undaunted. Im doing new characters with unfinished dungeon quest too. This shouldnt even be hard to fix. Make daily random queue join this half finished dungeons and let everyone else play this game without ruining the day with this unnecesarry annoyance.

    I don't mind landing in halfway finished dungeons - I get quick last boss HM, then requeue for normal to get even quicker kills on previous bossess and poof, 2 keys in my pocket. It's a time saver ;)

    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

    No, please don't. I like queueing for a random and only having one boss left to kill.

    I get that it's annoying if you are doing the pledge, but the people who are running the dungeon should be able to get replacements for the people they lose so they can finish the dungeon they started.

    You can always re-queue and kill the bosses you are missing, since they don't need to die in order for you to complete the pledge.

    maybe all bosses should be left to look/complete as you pass them so that you get the full dngn completion no matter where you come and and dont kick you from it if the other 3 leave for more like 5 mins to give you time to loot? idk just ideas.

    Nah. You should get full kill credit for the previous bosses though by killing the final.

    Until then, you can finish the final on HM and then you can run it a second time on norm and still get the HM credit.
    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    The problem is that you don't get pleadge completion if you get thrown into the middle of the dungeon.
    People who get someone rage quit or dc in the middle of a dungeon need help to finish them.

    The solution is to give pleadge completion to the person that is dumped in the middle if everyone else in the group has finished it. I know this creates other problems like people getting kicked to someones buddy can get a pledge but I feel that is so minor compared to the annoyance of having to run a dungeon twice because a group already killed one pleadge boss.

    Don't you want to be the team hero, lol? Seriously though, it does suck a bit when you've been queued for a while then get tossed into a blue portal of despair. Usually it goes well or a few pointers tossed the teams way helps get'r done. Also, after all these years and countless times I've completed these dungeons sometimes its nice to just go in a slay out the remainder to get your daily random done quickly.

    I was a bit annoyed on Saturday when I got into a Vaults group that had just killed the first pledge boss, but decided to stay with them anyways. For once I was rewarded by getting the worm cult ice staff from the final boss (my gear farming goal, but I still have quite a few weapons missing from my collection) even if I didn't get the pledge.

    Being added to a group that is partway through a base dungeon is an issue if you are trying to complete a pledge. Being added to a group that is partway through a base dungeon is a bonus if you are just doing a daily random. Either make the Dungeon Finder more sophisticated, give pledge credit for those bosses that the group have already killed or change the pledges so you only need to kill the last boss for completion. The last option is the preferable one.

    You guys already did this for vet DLC pledges. Can't be too hard to adjust those from the base game.

    I generally don't use the group finder for a pledge completion, unless I have part of a group and we just need 1 or 2 players to fill. If you enter the queue as a group of 2 or 3 then you will likely get a fresh dungeon.

    If I am entering the group finder as a solo it is to do a random dungeon for the associated rewards, getting a pledge fulfilled is just a lucky bonus.

    I agree I spoke of the same thing in my recent thread (link available upon request DM me) A metric ton of people know that they aren't going to enter a Delve and make "life long friends" It's not the world we live in.

    I group plenty pugs made in town are fun..I don't use the LFD ever (for that is the way to madness) but when we decide to run a few delves it's a fire works show with folks one shoting everything..it's just not fun.

    Compromise?

    People who have a pledge active, should not be selected for a half-finished version of that particular dungeon, only a new beginning instance.

    If you don't have the pledge for that dungeon, you can be dropped in halfway through.

    I fail to see how it's the huge problem you're pretending to be, especially during the Undaunted event where the event tickets drop off the final boss of the dungeon.

    What you want is something that benefits you because you don't want to be queued into a dungeon that has already started.

    Stop thinking about yourself for a moment and think about the group who lost someone for whatever reason. So, they shouldn't get their 4th player again because it would be in the middle of the run? What type of silliness is that?


    This is for those who mention pledges, not everyone who queues for a dungeon are running a pledge. I know I haven't ran pledges in years and haven't even completed the achievements for them.

    DLC dungeon pledges work this way. They just never updated the base game pledges.

Either make the Dungeon Finder more sophisticated, give pledge credit for those bosses that the group have already killed or change the pledges so you only need to kill the last boss for completion. The last option is the preferable one.

    I couldn't agree more, therefore, in order to make the last boss as the only boss for completion, ZOS would have to find a way to make sure that in order to get to the final boss you MUST kill all the previous ones. One option would be to make bosses appear in order, i.e., boss 2 will only appear if boss 1 is killed and so on OR make the layout of the dungeon in a way that you cannot find shortcuts by skipping bosses and going straight to the last one. OR make it so that once the last boss is killed it's a 100% dungeon completion for all party members (that would include quests, pledges, loots and whatnot.)

    Also, I got pulled into one last night where they were obviously stuck on the last boss in Cauldron (and likely abandoned) and I was happy to come in for the quick clear, and help what was probably new/inexperienced players get their clear and skill point.

    It the Group Finder behaved like the OP wanted it, then the players that were stuck could have been left in there a long time until they either gave up, or someone (that queued as a tank) finally didn't queue with the whole dungeon option. I personally would rather new players had good dungeon experiences and think it is ok to just go back and do a pledge on another run.

    DLC dungeon pledges work this way. They just never updated the base game pledges.

    Yup. And they are much better for it.
