Today I wanted to compare the tooltips for Healing and Shield abilities between CP and nonCP. So I went into nonCP Cyrodiil and then, b/c you can't directly queue for another Cyrodiil within Cyrodiil, queued for CP IC and what I found was really curious:
Between nonCP and CP the tooltip values of my shield abilities (Dampen Magic and Hardened Ward) decrease as one would expect. However, my healing ability's (Rapid Regeneration) tooltip actually increased - not at all what one would expect. So I double checked my numbers and I got the same results. Keep in mind I was looking at the numbers in nonCP Cyro and CP IC - for which the Battle Spirit is the same, except for the additional range that is for some reason not granted in IC.
So next thing I did, I checked nonCP IC vs CP IC and nonCP Cyro vs CP Cyro values. And lo and behold, you get
4 different tooltips for the healing ability!
Here are the values:
Cyro - CP
- 25,2k (Rapids)
- 8,0k (Dampen)
- 11,0k (Hardened)
Cyro - noCP
- 24,6k (Rapids) [-2,8%]
- 6,9k (Dampen) [-13,6%]
- 9,5k (Hardened) [-13,6%]
IC - CP
- 21,2k (Rapids)
- 8,0k (Dampen)
- 11,0k (Hardened)
IC - noCP
- 20,6k (Rapids) [-2,8%]
- 6,9k (Dampen) [-13,6%]
- 9,5k (Hardened) [-13,6%]
So
across all 4 PvP modes the healing tooltips are different. How is that possible?! Shouldn't they at be consistent within nonCP and CP settings - like the shields are?
Something else that stuck me as odd, was why
shields are 13,6% weaker in nonCP, while the
heal is only 2,8% weaker in nonCP.
That's almost a 5-times higher debuff on shields than on heals!
