I have 3 big quests completely shut down because of this bug which I believe is related as all the quests seem to have the same symptoms and results.
DESCRIPTION:
Quest events that should have some dialog and talking amongst NPC's never triggers. In all 3 cases the player enters the area as instructed and the NPC's just stand there and don't interact with each other or with the player.
ATTEMPTED SOLUTIONS:
Re-logging, abandoning the quest, re-logging for 15 min to reset your instance. logging on right after the server reset, Traveling to random people if guilds to enter their instance. None of the following have shown any chance to fix the bug.
3 MAJOR AFFECTED QUESTS:
#1 STOMPING SINMUR -
FINAL ZONE QUEST IN THE RIFT - ALLOWS ACCESS TO COLDHARBOR
Entering the area were the event takes place has the High king and other NPC's that according to people who have completed it will lead you into the attack against sinmur. The NPC's NEVER talk to you or start there event. Killing the mobs does nothing to start the event either.
#2 THE ARMY OF MERIDIA
TASK: ENTER THE CHAPEL OF LIGHT
MAJOR ZONE QUEST IN COLDHARBOR ALLOWS ACCESS TO NORTHERN HALF OF ZONE.
Upon entering the Chapel of Light after talking with the girl outside you are supposed to enter and join the meeting between the leaders your saved and the king. the NPC's NEVER talk and do not interact at all with each other or the player.
#3 THE WEIGHT OF THE THREE CROWNS
TASK: ENTER THE PORTAL TO STIRK
----MAIN STORY QUEST---- THIS ONE COULD NOT BE ABANDONED BECAUSE IT IS THE MAIN STORY. THIS QUEST ALLOWS ACCESS TO VETERAN ZONE'S AT LVL 50 / V1
When entering the island you are supposed to meet the 3 alliances at the center of the island. I arrived at the center at a square stone table with the alliance flags around the area. The NPC's never come and the event never starts. I have been all over the island and nothing starts the event.
RECAP:
All 3 quests show the same symptoms of an event failing to start and NPC's doing nothing. All known fixes have no affect on fixing the quests, and they have been tried 50+ times for each quest.
DAMAGE:
#1 Blocks access to coldharbor - work around is the travel to a player already there and you can at least do the zone quests.
#2 Blocks access to the Northern part of coldharbor- same work around as the first one, travel to a player up north and then ride around doing the side quests Some quests attached to the zone main will not work.
#3 MOST DAMAGING- Blocks access to the veteran zones, with out finishing the MAIN STORY you will never get to talk to Caldwell who gives you access to the other alliance zones. I am currently V1 and have been for over a week with NO-WAY into the Vetern zones.
There is No Known work around for this one and this is by far the most damaging because it stops all progress.
I have submitted Tickets to ALL 3 quests several times and What is most depressing is these quests do not show up on any list of Known bugs or getting fixed. I would like some confirmation that these 3 Quests are going to be fixed soon.
