Inner Beast is FINE, here's why

Everyone gets an effective 22% extra mitigation through battle spirit. Damage drops to the bottom on PTS as we know it. While Inner Beast's 15% looks broken, it is actually not when you factor in the free 22% mitigation everyone gets. Now you have to make a choice - to slot Inner Beast and get back some of the live patch's dmg at the cost of an ability slot, or do less dmg overall but be able to use other abilities.

Please think about this before asking to nerf Inner Beast

    You’ve posted this everywhere. You’re just wrong. First, the goal was to lower damage, not increase it. Second, medium got a damage buff, Dawny got a damage buff, POTL got an extreme damage buff, etc.

    They nerfed majors and minors for the same reason. They are out of control when based on a spreadsheet.

    You’ve posted this everywhere. You’re just wrong. First, the goal was to lower damage, not increase it. Second, medium got a damage buff, Dawny got a damage buff, POTL got an extreme damage buff, etc.

    I tested yesterday in the same setup. With inner beast my dmg is still lower than live. Please tell me why I'm wrong

    Not an excuse. If damage is too low, battle spirit needs to be scaled back. Not this. All I’m saying on the matter to you or anyone with this mindset.

    Again, their goal was to lower damage… not increase it or let people hit right beside of what it was. I really hope this is a joke.

    Then mention battle spirit in your post. Telling ZoS to nerf inner beast but not mentioning battle spirit is half the picture and solves nothing.

    You sacrifice 1 bar slot to use inner beast. It’s not a big deal

    it is still lower damage overall but 15% is just against everything they say about "standarising skills"

    One of the main issues I have with Inner Beast is the meta effect on PvE. DPS will have incentive to run a taunt in their rotation. That creates situations where players will pull aggro off of the tank. Poor design choice in my opinion. The first thing I would do is remove the taunt functionality from the ability if they want to make it a damage buff. At that point, tweak the % to whatever is more appropriate.

    If I can get 15% passive free mitigation just by slotting on my bar Temporal Guard + Revealing Flare, I'm fine with Inner beast giving extra 15% damage. However, it strange to have a PVE tank skill be so mandatory for PvP damage,

    If they pull aggro off the tank then the dps ends up 'dead dps'.

    I think the ultimate purpose of adding damage to that morph is for PvE, to encourage
    1. More damage capability from tanks who choose to use it and
    2. At least incentivize "fake tanks" to slot a darn taunt and try to do the job they queued for.

    Don't mistake me though, this is a roundabout, very passive way to influence player behavior and I'd rather see real and direct efforts toward addressing those two issues.

    The problem isn't 15% more dmg taken in the pts tank meta but that inner beast will be an absolute must have. Having to slot another boring buff skill on my bar instead of an interesting class skill is the main problem. Wohooooo will feel amazing to use a generic guild taunt over my class abilities.

    Like half of my combat time already contains maintaining buff, buffing this skill will just ruin class identity and combat even more than it already is (and it already reached a point at which tab target MMOs feel more engaging than this buff simulator).
    I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

    15% is a malacath without drawback, its too good not to use, essentially forcing everyone to sacrifice a skill slot for it.
    Make it only work against mobs (PvE)
