Fighters Guild Quest Giver NPC not spawning

I've attempted to submit a ticket but nothing so far.
Basically the random fighters guild NPC that spawns after every 5th level in any city is not working correctly, and there is a reason for this.

Did not pickup any fighters guild quests at a low level. (started at level 30) in Devans Watch. This appears to really mess up how the NPC's spawn as you are already such a high level.

Now I won't say its completely broken because I have somehow managed to get and complete several quests. The NPC that spawn's does not appear in any city however. Just recently after being fighters guild "locked out" for a day I found the quest giver in Histmir giving me the level 25 quest which ended with defending the earth forge and completed at Stormhold. (shadowfen)

So this has lent me to "city hopping" all over the Ebonheart cities in the hopes of finding the elusive fighters guild NPC. So far after the above quest I have yet to find any member after checking around 9 cities. Now the toon I'm working with is level 41 and is high enough to complete all the quests. I know this because I have completed them all on another toon I have who is 45. (but did it as I leveled).

If I remember correctly the city in which a guild faction NPC spawns is not relevant, just the level. The script *might* work off a combo, I'm not sure. Even attempts to follow the flow logically based off the city level / zone don't work. Logically the next quest (if its based on city) should provide me with a spawn in Eastmarch / Windhelm. Anyone out there encounter anything like this? Please help. Thanks for reading.

I am level 38 and have not gotten any Fighters guild quests in a while. I finished the mages quest line and I was assuming they would be the same levels all the way.

I am lvl 47. Finished lvl 33 FG Quest. And now? No NPC for lvl 43 spawns. No help from Support. I just have to look to forum. rofl.

im level 25 now and i should have gotten a fighters guild quest, but i didnt. no idea where to even look for that turd.

I finally managed to finish the quest chain at level 50 getting random quests here and there. No rhyme or reason to any of it..

It goes on the ranking of your fighter skill line. Rank 1 you get the first set, rank 2 you get the next one, rank 3 you get the next and so on until you finish the whole quest line. If you are not lvling the skill line then you won't get the quests. So kill undead, daedra and close the dark anchors.

As much as I would love that logical explication I have remained level 5 with fighters guild through out the duration of this entire affair. Started after first 5 quests. Just double checked, yup, VR1, still rank 5. It might be actually script-triggered by this as you say, but I have yet to get confirmation from any dev via tickets.. /shrug

When you are in game. Bring up the character window using C. Check your titles and see if you have Fighter Guild Victor title I believe it is. If so then the fighter guild quest line is done. I finished my Mage's guild quest line the other day and got the title Master Magician.

oh yah, I do. I have no drought I have finally completed the quest chain. As I said, I've done it all before on another toon. I take issue with the dynamic script assignment of this quest chain and likely mages guild as well.

The problem is probably you travel too fast.

The breadcrumb npcs tend to spawn in certain spots, usually out of town on your way in /out.

They pop up and I run past them all the time and I don't even have a horse. (same for Prophet though he seems to be able to show up at any wayshrine or location.
).

If you don't have the next quest yet and you are the right level or higher (nothing to do with guild skill level). Enter/ leave a town through the gates... moving relatively slowly. Without a horse works best. If they get close to you, they start talking, and stop running, so it is easy to leave them behind / miss them.

I tend to use Devon's watch in EP. Port into wayshrine and run to the left gate (non stables) no horse no STA sprinting. should get a messenger to pop before you get to the gate. That is also a good gate to get one while leaving town. usually stops right at gate while leaving town.

Some towns have really weird spots for them. Some don't have walls like Stormhold, so a lot of people don't actually come in on the roads.

Took me a while on my 2nd fighter's guild quest to realize the guy yelling "hey hey" to me was a quest guy not a local npc jerk.

My level 30 fighters guild quest glitched, the portal now doesn't show in the room of fighters guild, I was advised abort quest n it will re pop the whole quest, now, I'm not getting it restart, have I lost it forever?

Does anyone know if this has been fixed? I think this is happening to me. I've completed defending the forge (which I believe is the third in the questline) and have two more quests left to complete. I picked this up late as well and am now V1. Hope this doesn't impact the spawning of questgiver but I have yet to see her/him. /headscratch

I will try the above workaround at Davons Watch Gate and will update my post.

Considering this thread is over a year old, it would be better to start a new one with the specifics of your problem. Note however that each new Fighters Guild quest requires a new Fighters Guild rank - you need FG Rank 1 for the first quest, Rank 2 for the second quest, and so on.

Right. But I did go to Davons Watch gate - no questgiver. So I went to various towns until finally the questgiver did spawn (@ Mournhold for some reason). So, it doesn't appear to be an issue. Not sure if the bug was fixed but it would seem that traveling town to town will eventually get the questgiver to respawn.
