Mirri issue with harvesting bugs

It's annoying that she hates it when you harvest bugs for some odd reason which makes no sense from a cruelty perspective as I can denude the land of non-insect wildlife without bothering her. I can live with that though however quite frequently I accidentally hit E and harvest a bug and lose rapport when i instead meant to hit E to interact with something else. It would be nice if there was an add on to disable harvesting bugs by accident when you have her out.

I've had issues with that as well. There's literally no way to prevent it, as even if you turn off "autoloot," merely CLICKING on a bug will activate the dislike (so having autoloot on is actually BETTER, as you can potentially cancel before the looting finishes)..

she is good person that's why, it is copy/paste* but if i'm not mistaken it is in multiple cultures... and Bastian with his protect all life - aka don't kill any critters around seems to me as bigger problem... if Bastian says anything about ribs i will be totally disappointed of him...

*This is an idiom, albeit an older one. There are also versions of it that go "pulling wings off a fly," "tearing wings off of flies," "pulling wings off of butterflies." Likely there are other versions, but they all mean the same. In typical usage, it describes a cruel person, such as a bully or someone who enjoys tormenting others. It's the idea of someone who does something harmful to another person for no other reason than to take pleasure in being mean to them/in watching the other person be hurt/in pain (emotionally, physically, or otherwise). "He's like a boy pulling wings off of a fly." Here's a quote from Stephen King's horror novel "Carrie" where this idiom is used:

“People don't get better, they just get smarter. When you get smarter you don't stop pulling the wings off flies, you just think of better reasons for doing it.”

There actually is a setting in the addon, "No, Thank you" that will take away the E option from flying insects.

I guess/assume her likes and dislikes have to do with her past which will be revealed when you do her quests.

Again, as I’ve said in other posts, if you’re on PC, get the addon “No Interact”. You can freely disable (and re-enable) interactions with anyone and anything. Including NPCs and bugs.

It's not released yet for me but I feel like Mirri being offended over picking bugs was just a bad idea overall. I'll basically have to stow her every time I go out and about. Which kind of loses part of the purpose of having a companion. x.x

I wish that were true. If really love to know the back story on the goblins and bugs. Sadly you find out she has family issues in her rapport quests but nothing of any real substance. I haven't found a way to meet her father. She doesn't even really comment much of her story or even really acknowledge being in Vvardenfall or any other dark elf territory.

I think Mirri is a Freudian slip, and a subconscious projection, considering ZOS' affinity for bugs.

There is a cooldown between interactions, whether its an increase or decrease in rapport lets you do things freely for about 5 minutes. Such as if you read a book and gain a boost then you can go pick and kill bugs for a good 5 minutes without any repercussion.

If you do happen to pick a bug and it goes down then don't stop there, keep grabbing them as you have some immunity time before she reacts to it again. The amount of decrease is quite low, you can do a lot of it before it becomes a problem, completing the fighters guild daily quest recoups a fairly large chunk that outweighs what picking bugs did to her reputation with you.
