Stamden in bgs

This is bit of a rant post, mixed in with irritation at how poorly balanced this class is in nocp.

I can put on crimson and any other set I want and go 30-0, brainlessly. Just keeping netch, arctic wind, and Ice Fortress up and rotating other buffs/heals as needed.

I can two shot people with a shalk/dawnbreaker combo with malacath in heavy armor sometimes even without procs.

I legitimately have to TRY to die while playing this class, throwing myself into 1vX situations where I don't do absurd amounts of LOS play but I can survive it without issue.

I also have a gankblade (both mag and stam, but i prefer to play stam because... well. look at magblade in pvp. that's a solid yikes.)

I can manage to replicate the numbers but this consists of me running from fights, using proc sets, or choosing to bow gank and never be up close.

Now, I main stamdk and I do quite well with that. Admittedly, stamdk burst is nonexistant outside of leap combos. I don't find any particular class impossible to deal with other than stamdens in nocp, if they want to be, as far as it matters, they're just invincible.

Yesterday, as I was rotating around sets and trying a few different combos, I decided I wanted to try Malacath with Stuhns/Spriggans 5pcs. Absolutely bonkers level of pen and WD for nocp, and likewise, I melted just about everything.... except the stamdens. They just are allowed to completely shrug off my damage and even stay on the offensive while being hit with a full combo.

Now, it would be one thing if a TANK was to shrug off that damage, but a DPS build wearing proc sets, hitting 35-40k HP and still being able to output more damage than I can with two dps sets and a beep-ton of pen on top of malacath?

Just an overtuned carry class that makes the most out of the irritating proc meta. Argh.

There was actually a time when a good (melee) Stamblade was a threat to StamWarden... but without Major defile or a 30k burst... that's really hard.

By the way, what do you think, which class has now the best chances against the StamWarden, and why?

DDK is the Daggerfall Covenant´s last line of defense on the 30 days no-cp campaign (EU). We intend to fight epic battles in small, casual player friendly raid groups.

For Stamina, I'd wager stamcro. It's another class that can go toe to toe in tankiness. Has slightly less or about the same heals, and give or take the same burst if blastbones works.

For Mag... I'd say probably Magsorc, because.. well. If you can't burst them down or wear them down somehow, streak your problems away.

I play a WW in BG's. Not a stupid tanky proc heavy one but a high stamina bursty one, and find stamdens to be the biggest threat to me.

I appreciate WW's are pretty strong right now and I can go toe to toe with most other classes and normally win but a good stamden will eat and eat and eat and then drop me fast. I have never played a warden at all so honestly don't know what they have in their kit and I know the heavy proc meta is strong these days but I can honestly say if I see 2 stamdens on a flag, I'll know I aint winning that fight in a hurry.

They are a tough but to crack for sure.

Stamden and stamcros are broken. And have been broken since malacath. Crazy tankiness, burst better than a ganker.

    Balanced my balls.

Its not stamden by itself. Its a combination of things. Procs, malacath, heavy armor HP stacking benefits, the general one trick pony approach of stamden.

I tend to build mine as a 2h medium armor dot setup with 2h maelstrom BA, deadly, dragons appetite. Very unique and fun.
    PvP needs more love.

They figured by grouping with 3 others they can basically aoe down anything other than a group of stamdens or stamcros

Did you remember to jump around all happy-like after bursting the Templar in the light armor stat-based build?
