Thews of the Harbinger x5
Zaan x2
Blessing of the Potentates x2/x3 (Sword) Sharpened, Dbl Dmg Poison
Trainee Shield, preferred Infused, Health Glyph
Malacath
2h Vateshran Greatsword preferred Sharpened, Shock Enchantment

5 Heavy, 1 Light, 1 medium,
All body pieces enchanted with Tri Stat Glyphs
Jewelry, x3 Infused, Potion Cool down Glyphs (Important)

All Attributes Health

Serpent Mundus

Tri Stat Potions or any potion that also includes stamina preferred

Abilities
SnB: Pierce Armor, Leeching Strikes, Dark Cloak, Defensive Stance, Shielded Assault, ult: Spell Wall
2h: Elusive Mist, Rally, Executioner, Bone shield, Dizzying Swing, ult: Soul Harvest (Dawnbreaker for passives preferred)

The whole idea of the build is to use Thews in combination with Spell Wall and Normal Blocking to deal damage while maintaining a high defense. Then using procs in conjunction with DS and Executioner along with well timed 2h Vateshran Proc to finish off opponents. Zaan Proc with Executioner is a nasty combination on injured foes.

The Potion cool down reduction glyphs are paired with the NB passive to gain roughly 1 ult per sec along with very solid sustainability - Tri Pots can also be substitute heal spells (or any health pot)

You can also gain resources back from potions while maintaining block as a side note.

When opponents start bursting down or getting aggressive, popping Spell Wall and switching to offense via DS, Medium weaves, can turn the course of battle instantly. Dark Cloak, Leeching and HP regen provide more than enough healing during block.

The vampire stage is 1; Elusive Mist's cost is minimal even at this stage and the HP regen is enough to override most damaging abilities; the combination of such is arguably OP in its own right.

I did try frost staff vateshran over 2h; while the defense is incomparable; I need to be able to kill most any opponent.

Also I hope you enjoy the slaughter of PvE'ers during Mayhem; my first time reaping.

Whatcha think? @EtTuBrutus @Joy_Division @Beardimus and I would love any comments or questions! Even criticism!

Special Thanks to @paulsimonps for his help and inspiration. It was his idea to use thews on this build. Special thanks to all Xbox players, Forum Goers, and Sovngarde Seekers!

I like the health, ult gain, resistance and the appearance of Ragnar ... Plus; race change tokens are expensive AF.

Great example of the current state of the game. people are force to play in the only way possible, HP, heavy armor, WW/vampire, malacath and a proc set.

Lol that’s not the only possible way, it is everywhere though.

    Solid and versatile build.

I took a break. Came back after Thews was released. My sorcerer exploded attacking someone wearing this set and I had no idea. The tell is very subtle and the damage return is really strong and fast vs. an aggressive player. I see it occasionally, but surprised more people don't run it since damage return is such a strong defensive mechanic. I'm guessing you went NB for the ulti and I'm guessing they nerfed Argonians since they used to scream potion builds.

In a BG, I'd probably run Grothdar over Zaan since the combat tends to be more close quarters and as a tanky build you usually will hit multiple targets and this get more value from it. It seems like your builds this patch are tank set + multiple 2 piece offensive procs, which strikes me as being the most versatile, and perhaps efficient, combination. In a different meta, I'd suggest a little more damage because in some clips it looks like it takes a while to finish off some low healths, but that's probably a consequence of how ZOS has developed their game. I dislike that offensive skills feel weak and not impactful, but against people who know what they are doing, not much you can do about that.

Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.

I found that Stam DKs using a lot of DoTs were particularly difficult.

Most experiences are BGs; so it was more a combination of builds. Like this build will get melted if you are facing a defensive build and then a heavy attack build hits you while being behind their tank.

Streaking sorcs that break tethers are very difficult to kill; a well placed Curse or Shalk can hurt (anything that goes through block)
