Hi! I have troubles finding anyone to play with in pvp due to all my friends being pve players... I play in the CP campaign in Spinners, Eternal Vigour and malacath and can get some good fights but when there's more than 2 players hitting on me I can't do any damage and only focus on survival...do any magplar pros have any tips for me on how to get some good offensive windows as that seems to be my biggest problem!

If this was Reddit my opinion would get downvoted into oblivion because what I’m about to say goes against EVERYTHING you know.
Please note that I’ve respecc’d my Magplar dozens of times over the years and have tried everything imaginable.
Any way ... here goes ...
Pump everything into magic. EVERYTHING! I have 60992 at the moment. Mages Guild abilities like Inner Light help a ton. Ice Comet is another because it raises your magic with the MG passive. I have both and Structured Entropy on my DPS bar almost completely for the magic boosts.
Throw away the heavy armor. Go 5-1-1 light. The shield on Dampen Magic is higher for me in PVP than PVE. Why? Someone smarter than I explained why on the main board yesterday. My DM shield is above 11K in PVP.
And now you’re wondering “I thought he said DPS bar?” I did! The last two slots are for Radiant Oppression and Crushing Shock. My RO is about 11.5K and my CS is 3531 x 3. I can spam CS as an opener but ideally the rotation is Ice Comet, CS, IC lands, RO ... death.
Keep all your other heals and utility spells on your other bar. Bring a ton of immovable pots and invisibility pots. You’ll be surprisingly tanky in 1 on 1 or 1 on 2 situations. In 1 on 20 you’ll simply die in 0.5 seconds instead of 4. That, and being able to be one shotted on your horse or repairing a door are your drawbacks.
I was running 30K resistances last week. In all but the 3 scenarios directly above I’m actually tankier as long as I press shield every 6 seconds.
My gear is 2 willpower (destro and resto staves), 3 ancient grace, 2 mismatched monster pieces and 5 crafty afliq. All divines and infused.
THIS IS NOT META!! YOU WILL BE RIDICULED!!!
But ... you came looking for answers on how to melt people with a Magplar and there are very few people, if any, who know how to do that better than I do. Best of luck!

You're not going to be able to get around that unless your opponents are potato. That basically that one aspect of Templar "identity" the devs so kindly left (while nerfing or taking away everything else that used to make Templar distinctive). You don;t have a class skill that is defensive/mobile that gives you the breathing time to focus on offensive unless you want to basically be in perma mist form. Eclipse (and Ritual of Retribution sort of) used to be ok at providing enough of a window, but it's really inefficient now.
I would replace Spinners because offensive stat sets right now pale in comparison to proc sets. Overwhelming, Grothdar, and Vateshran Destro staff are both really strong and perfect for magplar because they still do damage even if you're on your defensive bar.
So basically your more a gimicky collection of gear sets than a Templar, but when in Rome...

That sounds like a really interesting Idea, do you have any gameplay footage? I would love to see that in action!
I think I understand the reasoning behind the magicka dump but how much does your Honour The Dead heal for? As far as I understand you play a ranged build ?

sadly I'm on PC so no Idea how XBox footage works xD
I'll give your build a try and see how it feels tho! Thanks for the insight.

Your light armor and 60k magic, the enemy will simply wipe their feet on you
THEDKEXPERIENCE very interesting build.
Can you tell me please how looks your other stats buffed/unbuffed?
How your build looks in practice against all procs sets and tanky builds?

Great questions.
Second part first ... this is entirely dependent on how often you remember to hit the shield button on Dampen Magic. You certainly won’t be unkillable (everyone has their limits) but all of my deaths yesterday were either being zerged by a ton of people (I would have died anyway) or to one specific player who is a former emperor. That former emperor usually melts me in seconds 1 on 1. Dude is legit. Yesterday it took him 30 full seconds twice. Essentially one of the best players on console in the world could no longer walk through me. In the months I play I’m generally around 100th overall for reference.
Average run of the mill 40K tanks couldn’t touch me and I could burn through them. A bunch of times I would ride up to a 10 x 1 and simply shoot a beam into the crowd to kill the 1 tank for the 10. This is a very common thing with this build and derivatives of it I’d tried over the years. I’ve simply never been able to push the envelope to this degree before.
First part second ...
Unfortunately ESO appears down right now for me.
I always run gold food and top shelf potions. I’m using the skull whatever gold food now.
So off of memory with food but unbuffed in Cyrodiil.
60k magic
23.5k health
19k stam
Regens are all really low (like 600 to 900) without potion buffs which get them above 1100. Heavy attacking in between spells to regain resources is a must with this build. I have a spell power enchant on my destro staff and a magic recovery enchant on my resto staff.
Crit resist is like 2800 or so and the other two resists are about to 15k.
Sorry I can’t be more specific but it appears ESO wants me to go exercise this afternoon instead of theory craft!

Bewitched Sugar Skulls Food active
Magic - 60992
Health - 17106
Stamina - 19126
MR - 725
HR - 917
SR - 604
SD - 2115
SC - 34.9
WD - 1688 (irrelevant)
WC - 11.5 (irrelevant)
SR - 14124
PR - 14949
CR - 2557
Main potion is Essence of Immovabilty (immune to knockback and disabling effects for 10.4, adds 8369 Health, 7582 Magic and both HR and MR 40% for 47.6 seconds which is longer than the cool down). For some reason I was getting 1100+ MR in PVP last night but now in PVE it’s in the 900s. Maybe battle spirit or a buff I didn’t notice.

With current gap closers and proc sets, ranged glass Canon builds get rolled too quickly. You shouldn't wear light armor, even standing in the ground glyph you have far less armor than the warden dizzy swinging at you.
Switch to stamplar or play a different class better suited for the current meta... such as stamina anything but Templar. If you must play magicka, play magsorc, and spend half your time running away from the superior stamsorcs... but at least you can run, unlike magplars.
Listen I know this hurts but don't try to fit the square peg into a circle. I take my magplar main for 30k ap and then I leave and play my better pvp alts.
I find it odd that folks come in here and tell you not to PvP with Magplar because it's bad or not "meta". Take the suggestions you have gotten and try them for yourself. Here's my non-meta, sub-par old school Magplar build that does just fine solo. Skill has more to do with gameplay than a copy/paste build from some website.
I STILL use:
DW/SnB
5 Heavy Shacklebreaker
5 Bright Throat
2 Balorgh
2 Potentates
It works fine solo and completely wrecks people that copied a "meta" build from some website.

Know anymore dw/shield builds? They look cool. I hate having a stick on my magplar and magdk
I’ve been doing:
Dark elf
5 crafty afliq
5 light of cyrodiil front bar
2 skoria
2 potentates

Yeah
5 Ancient Dragonguard
5 New Moon
2 either Chudan or Bloodspawn
2 Potentates
Another good set up that doesn't take advantage of "clever use of game mechanics" cheese crap meta builds.

The answer to these questions depends on many things. I use witchmothers with this set up because I want to have fun without breaking the bank.
Heavy/Light (in my opinion) depends upon your skill level. I use 5/2 heavy because I'm not very good and like to stay in fights as long as possible.
Mundus, traits and glyphs all depend on skill level and personal preference. I us 2 tri-glyphs and 5 mag glyphs an armor with 5 impen. and 2 sturdy.
Jewels I run all infused with 1 recovery and 2 SD.
But again, that's just me. There are many people out there that are way better than I am but this is what works for me.
