I think it might not work, as it checks if you have drink buff active. Pretty much all sets that need additional data from the server (as they are checking if condition are met) wont work.I am curious is Bright Throat Boast will be affected during the test. It gives max stats and recovery but requires a drink buff.

I am also wondering if Mighty Chudan and Rattlecage will be affected, so I am looking forward to seeing if there will be a list of sets that will be affected during the test.

At that point, why not just play the new For Honor or stuff like that? I guess it becomes a little like Planetside but with RPG abilities?

Anything that alters abilities dmg or cost or otherwise and sets that deal direct/dot dmg or heals etc wont work, as far as I understood it. Like seducer, it makes skills cost 10% less, malacath might fall under the same category, but who knows...this is eso after all and you cant apply reason/logic to it.

I can't see any checks on malacath. It gives damage no matter what. Unless it's checking if it's a heal or not.
Well, I may be wrong, but since they specifically mentioned that Seducer set will not work as it checks if magicka ability is casted... then I would not be surprised if New Moon had a check "if any ability is casted".TheCaptainJosh wrote: »I don't think Malacath has a check.
I would think that the server interaction is similar to new moon's, which also has gives a flat gain in stats but at a cost. I believe that server side, as soon as you equip the ring, all of your critical damage is then disabled, negating the need for any further checks. But I really hope the team can clarify this before the tests begin (with hopefully more than a couple of hours to prepare)

I'd say it has to check if you crit and if so not allow it. Maybe there is another way to do it, but I am guessing there is a check for crit.

A PVP with this ruleset would have almost 90% of players in it who want a fun pvp experience and dont want crappy unbalanced sets to ruin the gameplay.
