What if the impenetrable trait was reverted?

This is mainly concerning no-cp and not CP PVP.

I've noticed skills having crits higher than I remember before the impen nerf. I'd say its basically almost 1000-2000 more cirt damage on about every direct damage ability. I think the Impenetrable trait needs to be reverted back to what it was. Maybe all these proc sets would not be that bad if the crit damage from skills was not so high. Rarely do I remember some ultimates hitting around 8k-10k unless I stacked a lot of weapon damage or spell damage and penetration -- an example would be a full weapon damage build up from warriors fury and lots of utilmate points on old balrogh alongside old NMA which was like 6k+ weapon damage on some classes.

I know some people enjoy the faster paced gameplay in no-cp, but sometimes I think its a bit to much to react too unless you get lucky with your CC breaks and dodge rolls/blocks. Personally I rather have them reduce the amount of impenetrable gained through CP by the same amount they took from the trait.

How much impen are you actually wearing, @Udrath? The full 7-pieces on armor?

Most players shouldn't be lower than 3k Crit Resist without some form of damage shield mitigation.

To2C poses a very good question. Really, there is no much not known about OP's experience that it is hard to have a discussion unless we are going to talk about hypotheticals or anecdotal information.

Your issue is with Malacath and the new sets, not impen.

Even with the nerfs, your can gain 2000 crit resist with 7 impen in no CP. Before Greymoor, you could only achieve 1750 crit resist with 7 impen.

The reason you are seeing a big increase in damage is most likely the effects of Malacath, and the buffs of many sets that happened in Greymoor and stonethorn. Additionally, with the reduced healing it feels even more punishing.

Malacath means your crit resistance is nullified.

I personally run Malacath in no CP as the investment for a non-NB to hit the necessary crit numbers and modifiers is too high.

In order to surpass Malacath on a build you'd need a combination of 50% chance and 50% modifier or higher; in no CP this takes several sets and your mundus (if not a NB khajit type) and thats not factoring in your opponent's impen.

Id rather just slot a ring

I think it was in Harrowstorm when they gave increased base line crit resistance and I remember having around 2800ish crit with 7 impen. Then in Greymoore it was lowered to 2200ish. First I noticed were 10-11k snipe crits, but that was just probably from wampire skills. But the 8-10k incaps and 8-9k dragon leaps was noticeable and consistent. This was like day 1 of Greymoor and on.

Who knows maybe I used to heal through that damage better than I realised when the debuff was 50%.

I haven’t tested Malacath so that’ll be next on my things to try. My bad I don’t have any numbers or facts to back up my claim, it’s just what I noticed on my damage and damage received.

Before Harrowstorm not many people wore double damage sets cause it was hard to sustain, and we also a had 50% healing debuff to heal through more damage.

Again this is all related to battlegrounds/no-cp only.

It was Greymoor when you got 20% baseline critical resist.

Did NB crit damage get buffed? I vaguely remember that happening.

Grim focus now gives crit dmg instead of dmg mitigation.
