Someone must be on the Bloodthorn (NA) campaign and been at the receiving end of us doing that. Mmm Alliance Point farm, heh.

Have a cookie? You and just about every other guild raid has done this at some point by now.

Doesn't shock me, we were doing this back in the large beta weekend tests. How surprising that ZOS hasn't decided to try and fix this yet. :P

I experienced this tonight and agree with @leewells completely.

Some say "just ignore them, don't go in there". To that I say you must either be doing it, or unable to understand the strategic value of holding a resource tower. until reinforcements return, or to whatever end.

For realism sake, they should only be usable from a ledge, pouring down onto enemies, not onto the floor where the user is within the AOE.

How surprising? There have been 0 balance changes at all, for either PvP or PvE. We still have critical bugs like corpses keeping people locked in combat. So yeah, no kidding they have not decided to try and fix it yet. They have bigger fish to fry at the moment...

Anyone who complains about this is poor at pvp.... This whole tactic is easy so beat lol Two words - purge, immovable! A person puts on immovable (8sec immune to cc buff), walks in uses purge to clear oil dot (making it do 0 damage) and everyone else follows while that person spams purge (all runes are already gone) and oil cant do anything because of purge spam. Yay! You win! All it took was 1 person who actually prepared and was not a dumb lemming jumping inside and dying to very simple trap.
Both skills you need for this are available to everyone!

I have to give a credit to AD pack of Vampires with VR10 Night Mistress leading them (seriously VR10 10 days after the official release?).

Night Mistress - v12 Former Empress Sorcerer AD
Night Mistress II - v12 Night Blade AD

I'm seriously getting sick of some many complainers that never even bother looking for answers to their complaints in the game itself all they want to do is complain. I'm almost positive that nobody will even bother trying what i suggested above, the thread will simply die out and they'll go to a different one and complain there.

I must admit, that is actually a good suggestion. However, as someone who has tried a few tactics against this tower bunker strategy, I have two objections to your suggestions. First, you need to coordinate said attack into the keep, and that alone presents a real challenge. Second, you are now in a confined area trying to fight a number of enemy players who will have their ultimate ready. A nova here, a standard there, a devouring swarm in the middle, a barrier just in case, and most of you will probably die without killing any of them.

You right if they all have their ultimates they will kill some people but ultimately if enough people get in and run upstairs and all over the place their whole farming set up will be ruined anyways. Oil pots will be burned, runes gone, some of them will be dead. And there are plenty of people outside still. So yes to make sure you don't die in that huge aoe spam best bet is to quickly run upstairs and nuke from above. I've been both - person setting this whole farming thing up and one going in with purge/immovable. I can tell you this much - even 1 person that got in and got past the 1st floor can make a difference. Also another thing you can do is immovable then go in and hit mistform if you are a vamp and run up. Another thing you can do is set up oil next to door and walls and pour it inside lol it does actually work if they stand close enough to door/walls or have oil pots that are close (they take damage).

LOL, obviously terrible at PVP... Obviously.. No one should die to 8 oil pots at once, I mean, no one.. If you don't have 5K hp, you're just ***.

    /end sarcasm

I've actually instructed my guild to start using this tactic -- I noticed another thread from bloodthorn from DC whining about it like little girls and wanting it nerfed -- those whom use it can't even take it as a dose of their own medicine. Quite hilarious, actually.

The only way to effectively "COUNTER" This is an exploit (at least what I would classify as an exploit, though it would seem zenimax nor most people here would) which we've been using being I like fighting fire with fire and placing the pots around the base ring of the towers, and pouring.. It takes 8 pots, pouring at the same time (from the outside) and everyone on the bottom floor (inside) is dead. We found that little morsel and use it often.
