Stillwaters Retreat frozen lake is too small

While i really love the theme and the idea of a frozen lake with a secret cave, i find the building area quite small at the end (compared to moon sugar meadow and Coldharbour Surreal Estate).
Also, the lake is REALLY enclaved, you can't build anything on the rock or the snow since everything is blocked by invisible wall.

Here's a little drawing showing the actual wall i experienced (red) VS what i hope i would be (blue).

By comparison look at the size of the building area on moonsugar meadow!!!

Did you guys experienced any problem with these invisible wall?

“The Second Era? Oh, you mean the BEAM Era. Because apparently every problem could be solved with a giant glowing light shooting at everything.”

I was very underwhelmed with this house. As someone who likes to build things, I was really hoping for something akin to Moonsugar in a nice, pretty, snowy environment. Yeah, the neat little cave is there and we have the interior to play around with, but the exterior is very... uninspired. Lots of building limitations with the invisible walls.

I checked the place out and thought it was just dumb. I was really excited about the entry way and what might lay ahead, but it was just a big frozen lake and a small little cave on one side. I don't get how the entry and lake are even connected theme wise, it made no sense. Definitely not something I would spend gold or crowns for.

Agreed, I just can't get over the idea of building things on ice. I understand that it's a fantasy game where anything's possible..... but who in their right mind would build on frozen water that could melt at any time?

I thought the entry way was well done, but the fact that there's virtually no building area that's not over water makes it a hard pass for me as well.

Perhaps I should take a look at this place. Not being very good at decorating (aka useless) I prefer smaller places. You have me thinking I could do interesting things with boats. And floating islands.

Agreed. Invisible walls are the worst. And yeah, it’s odd how small that building space is. Hopefully they open it up just a bit more.

As far as the ice goes... I was a little confused too, but then I figured they made the ice clear so we could see the foundations we plant for the structure above the ice. You can sink boulders, statues, ruins - stuff like that - and then have it creeping up out of the ice. That seems pretty cool. You could even build wooden structures on stilts, and pretend it’s something like a little fishing village in the winter. I kind of like that you can make a little story for the space that way. Either something meant to be built into a frozen pond, or something trapped in it (:

(Whispers) “Okay ZOS. I’ve defended your crazy ice pond building scheme... Now please put Hunter’s Glade back up for sale in September.”

Last night I got the Font of Auri-el lead...I was surprised how big it was after I excavated it! Maybe I’ll float it on the ice since it’s possibly connected to snow elves 🙂
