Have you tried Tamriel trade centre? https://tamrieltradecentre.com/
Looks like there is some Battalion Defender stuff on there & it will tell you exactly what guild trader stall to go to.

TTC wasn't working correctly, last time I checked (which was pre-fix, obviously).

None of the guild stores were in the places TTC was saying they were.

No, i have not missed the point. You want an Auction House.

But you are using a contrived argument. 4 hours of shopping and you did not find 5 pieces? Not buying it. Pardon the pun.

There are many good tanking sets if you are just wanting to try out tanking. Besides, if you really want this particular set, get it the same way everyone everyone else does and Farm RotW boxes. Perhaps your guild could share their largess with you.

Yes, you have missed the point; massively.

There is a bug in the trading system (or was, pre-fix).

Meaning people couldn't even go on TTC, to try to find the things they needed.

Making the, normally tedious, process of finding (most) things, using this system, virtually impossible.

Even without a bug, TTC is bad for finding gear, anyway, as it doesn't even differentiate between traits, or qualities.

Which I appreciate an auction house search might not do, either, but at least the listings would be current and you could go through them while standing on the spot.

Rather than running all over the map, only to find the one you wanted has already sold.

The "go farm your own" suggestion is utterly ludicrous, by the way.

As is the "ask your guild" suggestion, especially when the post was made at 1.17am, when many guild members won't even be on.

If he had felt he had time to farm all his own stuff (i.e. days, or weeks!), why would he even be trying to find stuff, in unlisted guild traders, at 1.17am in the morning?

People have the right to expect to be able to buy tradable things, like this, in an MMO.

As I have said previously, I think there can be upsides to a guild trader system, for certain types of items; especially craftable, slow selling ones, like furniture.

However, sadly, that doesn't apply here, especially while the system is bugged.

TTC has advanced search where you can select trait or quality.

you have now people just going around buying and selling certain items in large quantities to move/fix prices and create quasi monopolies...its basically how they play the game...if you had one auction house this would be even worse....good example for this is the price of treasure maps with the introduction of antiquities...

The trading system is a joke in this game, but the monopoly holders will defend it to the death for their virtual shinnies lol.

youll have to explain how a global auction house would lower the threat of monopolies...

    I feel your pain.

An in-game TTC that actually shows everything that's available is already 5 years overdue.

So, under that thesis, if Monopolies are going to exist regardless... in a Global Auction house or not, I'll take the one where I can search for what exactly I want instantly. Thanks.

I'm surprised there are still so many people that don't use TTC. A link to it should be built into the ESO UI, because trying to shop or find anything without it is an absolute nightmare.

Maybe Zos just needs a monetary incentive. I would pay credits for access to an AH. Or add AH to subscription.
Imagine the quality team that brought the current guild trader bidding process for 300 some kiosks to its knees by just increasing bids tenfold.

Now imagine that same team designing a global trade hub that simultaneously lists, sells, sorts, and searches an entire continent's-worth of players' transactions in real-time.

Keep trying to imagine it. I'll wait.

All they have to do is make a deal with Archeage or SWTOR or any number of other game companies and they could have a global AH up in a month. The technology already exists - in Abundance.

    IMHO

Nobody ever said that the technology didn’t exist. Setting aside the comical one month timescale or the thought that competitor game systems are just lying around for purchase, trading just isn’t worth any such investment. It’s a quality of life sideshow to the core game.

I guess it’s possible that ZOS wouldn’t try to build it themselves, but it isn’t very likely given how they’ve tackled rewrites of much more important game systems in the past.

Be honest mate that thing is out of date within minutes especially as guilds will post items at a low rate to drag you to them.
By the time you get to the trader its already been swapped to an alt guild at a higher price.

You only need to watch the thing for half an hour to realise whats going on, ESO's system only benefits a few, its rubbish if your short on time and an auction house is long overdue.

ESO gets a lot of things right (which is why im still here) but they are way, way, behind other MMOs on the trading system front.

Hmm. Well, while I do definitely agree that a global system is preferable.... not that 99% of the people who post here care....

Why are you trying for 6 pieces? 5 pieces gets you the main benefit. The 6th piece offers nothing after you've already got 5/5.

Maybe Zos just needs a monetary incentive. I would pay credits for access to an AH. Or add AH to subscription.

Hey, they got the Faction switch tokens now, and Faction switch is IMHO not a good idea.

So, there's hope that if it's gonna bring in Zos money, an AH might still be brought in.

People really need to stop saying they'll pay crowns for basic game functionality. They're getting enough, this game is monetized more than enough. They need to fix their game and focus on making it enjoyable, that'll keep people playing the game rather than irritating them with more crown store offerings. Gaming didn't used to be like this and this mentality is just contributing to this decline.
