Help please urgent: Can you change your ' forums account email?

So my friend has a forums account here on eso forums. She accidently or mindlessly deleted her email address she used for her forums account which was different to her eso,account.

Then eso got everyone to reset their passwords remeber back when that happened? So she is screwed


She cant reset her forums password because zos sends the activation for new password to her old email that she deleted.

She has put in 10 tickets for help no joy.
She was then cruelly sent a survey to fill in to give feedback on the service she received which was non. She was so frustrated she called me crying....it breaks my heart that after weeks of this poor girl,trying and begging she was treated so poorly. She loves the game and pays lots of money on it.

I want to thank everyone that has left a comment trying to help ...ill tell her it could be cos of the virus. I didnt think of that. 😊

    Tickets should be the only way... Also give them some time and more replying to the ticket, I know that the system feels incompetent at times, but don't forget it is hard times with a virus going on everywhere.

    Please tell her not to keep submitting duplicate tickets, each time she does that she drops to the bottom of the queue. She also needs to be patient, Customer Support will doubtless be on reduced staff with some at least working from home and with their priority likely to be those who have problems in the game rather than a problem logging into the forum.

    Could she recreate the old email with that provider? I had to do that a couple of times when playing other games. That was back when I had about 20 email accounts....

    Have you tried contacting your email provider ? How long time ago it was deleted ? Usually there is a way to "undelete" an e-mail as there are copies on the server and each e-mail provider probably stores that e-mail for certain period of time.

    If not, then try to maybe "re-crate" the email ? It should be possible it it was not taken / booked by some else.

    Also, very obvious question, but I will ask anyway:
    Was your "friend on the forums" logging on to the e-mail directly through e-mail provider's website ? Or maybe was using E-mail 3rd party app/program client like Thunderbird /MS Outlook etc. ? Deleting an email on a e-mail client program like this does not delete email itself.

    She was just using gmail and she tried to get it back but it kept saying the email doesn't exist.
