Trying to hold a singular community over others with higher standards will lead to a harder fall off the soap box. All communities have their good and bads, It is all based on one's personal opinion and experiences on how high the soap box will stand before it gets kicked out from under them.

And as well, the ones looking for offense, will only find offense.

More important is whether any action has been taken by ZOS if they were found to be against TOS.

What happened? I can't buy my favorite yoghurt anywhere because every store is fecking sold out, and I'm gonna take it out on some poor sucker in my vidya gaems!

In 6 years playing this game, and more playing MMORPGs in general, I have not had to report anyone for harassment. I have known some players who were harassed but not to the degree OP is talking about.

Most players who get into in-game heated conversations that get out of control contributed to it. Simply reply to odd comments from players can stock hateful messages. Also, you recently complained in the forums because you tried to give a player in a dungeon some advice, which is not necessary. Even when I used to queue solo as a tank to help the GF I never gave players advice on how to play even when they were so bad they could not clear a boss. I was not pushy and only offered if they asked.

I suggested before, find a good active guild and run with guildies. Often that will be a smoother run overall. Also, do not offer advice unless asked. If you are still running a melee without a bow bar, then I would suggest you should not offer advice to begin with.

Also, use the ignore list. While I have no one on mine, it is effective in preventing them from sending you a PM or letter.

Where are you guys finding an this crap? You're not the first one to say this here in the past week, btw. Granted, I don't have /z open most of the time, but I pug a lot and run cyrodill with zone chat and if I see something bad once or twice a year, that's a lot. PC NA here. EU too, occasionally. Report, ignore and move on. The community is good.

People should have the basic decency to, if they dont want it, at least not react like a moron.

You can suggest you were all polite and friendly but clearly they did not take it that way. A lot of people think they are being nice but others do not take it that way. Besides, what authority do you have to tell someone else how to play considering at last check your stam build did not include a bow?

Screen shots, and send it via the website. That tends to do the trick the best.

This. I suggest there is more to the story. Especially since we are up to 4 in one week. After 6 years my ignore list is empty and I have gotten my share of hate whispers in PvP. All of which I passively ignored and they quickly move on after seeing I do not have a hot head.

I enjoy getting hate whispers in PvP, I mail them a potato.
