Checking Download -- STUCK! Gives me BSOD!!!

Chronok
Chronok
I opened the launcher yesterday for the first time and it got about 25% through the download. My computer froze for some unrelated reason and when I rebooted and launched again, it gets stuck on "Checking Download" at around 20803.59MB. After around 5 minutes of it being frozen there, it will give me a BSOD and then crash my laptop. I've tried EVERYTHING but nobody seem to be having this issue but ME!! Any help would be greatly appreciated, seeing as how Bethesda won't give me the damned time of day. I feel like I've been robbed $80. Any suggestions?

    Hello!

Did you check you updated your drivers?
Also try and get your dxdiag information and attach it to your post. it'll make things easier for people wanting to help (not in my case, as i can't read them well)

Looking at your Processor, the GHz is .20 under the recommended, but you do have dual core. i don't think this is the issue though.

When you're in your dxdiag, could you run it please, and put it in a file for us to read? there should be a button for this beside the next page button.

Yes, here is the .txt file for it.

Alright! i read through it, and it seems the issue is related to "npggNT64.des_unloaded"

You have nProtect installed right? could you please try and close this down when you run the launcher?

I play another MMO called Flyff and it uses nProtect GameGuard, but I don't see it actively running. Should I just uninstall that entirely?

Well if you're not using it anyways or plan on returning to the mmo Flyff, then i would recommend it. otherwise just disabling the first try is fine :)

Uninstalling Flyff and its components didn't change anything, unfortunately..

Could you try and send a new dxdiag ? i'd like to see what could be causing the issues now

Try and open your processes, and close internet explorer.exe, and cmw_srv.exe down. and try and start up again.

Otherwise i recommend restarting your computer, but press the appropiate key to get in to advanced options.
From here try and run the repair tool for your computer, to fix something that may be wrong internally inside windows
