You already have that ability. Just don't click the link to accept them when you log in. Keep doing that (ignoring the link) every time you log in. You will never get a daily reward.

That's frustrating and no solution, you get offered it each time you log in a character. If it was accompanied by "Don't ask me again" that would be fine. I get four such invites with two accounts and playing on two servers, it would be good to be able to limit it as required.

It's a simple Quality of Life improvement, but for some reason a lot of players only want those when they enable them to avoid playing the game, rather than when all they want to do is avoid being offered extra things they don't want or need.

Not so much complaining about being given something for free, more looking for the ability to opt out. That's quite different.

haha what a load of crap. They usually give something interesting like a crate or something, and at one stage they actually gave decent rewards to reward players. Now they just punish players for logging in, what does that say about the devs?

It says absolutely nothing about the devs. The marketing department however...

yes it does, it means the devs are content to sit back and go along with everything the marketing department does to ruin the game. Why don't we hear about the devs standing up for themselves instead of just accepting this marketing crap that's driving the game into the ground?

You clearly don't work in the industry or at any job where the marketing department has a lot of the power.

OK. I see it as something that happen in real life quite often. People "offer" you stuff that you may or may not want. I see the ability to ignore the offers you do not want as a life skill. We have a difference of opinion here.

No, the marketing department is not going to let you opt out of their mandatory in-game cash shop advertisements so shut up, get in line and go buy some gambling crates before you get reported by one of the forum heroes.

If I could ignore the offers that would be fine, it's all that is being suggested. Take skill points in the crown store for example, I can ignore those totally by choosing not to look at them. However, the login rewards can't be ignored as they have to be accepted or repeatedly declined. Where, from your perspective (as opposed to the marketing team's) is the problem in making their display optional?

Knock of trying your best to insult each other and ZoS, they Do listen to feedback and criticism, but can you really fault the person/people for shutting down hard on screaming, threatening and entitled brats? If you're yelling at the top of your lungs, nothing you say will get heard, you're shut down after the first all-caps sentence. Mind yer manners for forks sake! <;p

Now we who answered here all look like meanies - because the title and the initial post of the thread have been edited 100% into something vaguely constructive instead of whining. So this thread hangs completely in the air and could be closed. *rollseyes*

well, you're not a good person are you, I didn't ask you to respond, but you just had to go tapping away on your keyboard. The question is directed at ZoS. You have no say at all.

If the question is directed at ZOS, then it should have been a direct message to them and not an open message on the forums. You invited the response of all forum readers by putting it here.

    Welcome to the 2020's everyone!

something for free which is trash for some if not just many players
yes we all know, for more like casual, not exp player these rewards can/are usefull btu for someone doing endgame who can effort much in this game? these rewards are literally nothing

why then cant we have an option to disable it as for real..it was also mentioned..it is not nice to get this window pop everytime you relog or something; or you claim reward to get rid of this window and then what? taking your space in inventory while forcing yo to type, confirm few times before you will be able to destroy something which is just worthless for you

as someone else have writte in this thread ok, come on, I can give you all my daily rewards for logging only if you will be able to claim all of them instead of me, so it wont show me even once, I could give you away even these rewards with 100k gold in it or cronw crate but for first make it wont show me ever again and all my login rewards will be yours, Im waiting
(so these rewards wont be wasted at all by being ignored by me as someone else could take away but Im not sure if ZOS would anytime give us option like this as this coudl be against their market as we will be again at point where players are receiving more "free" stuff so they dont have willings now to buy something similiar as they are getting tons of it for free from players who dont care about these rewards)

Might be a good idea to ask people who have a lot of experience fixing ZOS's inability to make any QoL things...

Is it technically possible to make an addon which will pick up the daily reward for you and immediately delete it? Does the API allow it? That would solve a lot of problems.

It seems like login rewards are a lose/lose situation for ZOS, at least in terms of forum feedback. Literally anything except crown crates is met with long topics about how it's all trash (including 100k gold, which was both hugely exciting and controversial because so many people were sure if would destroy the economy the first time they did it). Crown crates get a positive reaction until players get to open them, then there's a long thread about how everything in them is trash and not worth having.

So it looks like no matter what they give us it's trash and some very vocal players would prefer not to have it.

If they were going off forum feedback I think the only options at this point would be to either make it the same stuff every month so at least it's not worth repeating the same complaints about how much you don't want it, or removing them completely and going back to no login rewards.

It's really not though. Two simple things can fix daily rewards.

    1) Fix the groundhog day experience of:

"Mon - crownstore food; Tue - experience scroll; Wed - crownstore potions, Thu - crownstore drinks; Fri - a bit of gold; Sat - crownstore poisons and Sun - something a bit more exciting but not really for 3 weeks, then AP/Tel Var/AP/Tel Var/... and repeat next month",

and add some variety in rewards order. You know, just simply apply their combat balancing approach to daily rewards and throw darts while blindfolded to determine their order.

    2) Tone down rewards that are only useful for new players. It's hard to be excited about ten 50% experience scrolls a month and one 150% on top of that when you have 1000CP and 18 characters. Why does it have to be an All-Research scroll every time? What good is crownstore food (not even talking about drinks) if you can get it for 100 gold from guild traders? Crownstore poisons? Should be renamed to DELETE poisons.

Instead what about some upgrade materials every now and then? Imagine how happy some people will be if they can get a chromium plating or 1-2 iridium ones every now and then? 200 rubedo for crafting writs? 10 Columbine or any other plant so you can make a pot or posions you will actually use? Or even better 3 of every plant to make some popular potion? Useful for veterans, teaches new player a cool recipe they can use. A random chapter from some rare-ish motif? A random green Murkmire furniture blueprint? Can be useful for anyone and can encourage that new guy who got his first page of some dungeon motif to go farm it to complete the collection. A couple of transmute crystals? Hell even like 100-300 Crowns to encourage people to get more and buy something from the Crown Store.

All those things are more universal and won't meet so much opposition from veteran players while still being useful for new players as well unlike ten exp scrolls. And they all encourage people to go do some content.

    You can turn a lose/lose into a win/win. It's not rocket science.

OK. To me, not accepting the login rewards is just like not buying the crown store offerings that are displayed when I log in. Not a big deal to me. ZOS is doing what I expect and showing this stuff at log in. If it popped up every 5 minutes throughout game play, I would be right with you in complaining.

Could just avoid it and not use or interact with it you don't have to claim the dailies but some of the dailies are very useful. Its your loss. But well that is up to you. They don't need to have an option to turn it off since its an optional system. If you don't interact with it you get no benefit from it. So you can just ignore it and pretend its not there.

You have to claim the junk to be eligible for the stuff that's actually useful (Tel Var, Alliance Points, gold, etc). They deliberately put that stuff at the end of the month, so you have to interact with the trash first if you want it.

if you don't like the daily rewards, just don't bother collecting them.
or if you're sick of them piling up, just use the handy-dandy "destroy" feature to rid yourself of them.

I'm happy with every cent I get though, so don't go all socialist on me and demand someone take my money away.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

Theres login goodies. Usually one bigger thingie once a month. Sometimes its a crown crate, sometimes a mount, sometimes a pet, this month its 100k, as has been before.
Thats nothing new, so I literally do not get why one must start the new year at seven in the morning with a complaining thread about it, and answer every post of other users with a variation of "ZOS don't listen". New years resolution: "Complaining more about inconsequential things and ZOS-bashing in the forum as a new hobby"? First world problem.
Needs like an ESO break would be a good new years resolution in such a case. :D

well, it's not actually 7am due to your unthinking discrimination, and yeah it's people like you that turn off the veterans. So I think I may stop posting here because instead of people understanding the issue all they do is bash people who are genuinely trying to make ZoS listen to the players instead of being ignored.

"Listen to the players". Damn near every post is in disagreement with you. Seems they are listening to the players, just not the ones who feel like you?

that seems to be the issue for you.

obviously you have no idea what you're talking about. They don't listen to the players, otherwise the numerous post like this wouldn't be made.

Just because they don’t do what you suggest doesn’t mean they’re not listening.

Listening does not imply/involve any action will be taken.

If ZOS didn’t listen to players we would not have had Necros and dragons and we would not be going to Skyrim.

Ummm the fact that we're going to Skyrim is because they didn't listen to the players...

After reading a bunch of your posts i'm starting to think your definition of 'the players" is just you and your opinion. ☺

In my country we have the saying: "Einem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maul" ("Don't look into the mouth of a gifted horse") it basically means if you get gifted something you shouldn't judge it, because the most important thing is that you got gifted anything.

I agree, daily login rewards are, with no insult to the devs intended, pathetic.

Not only that, but they want you to jump through hoops by typing DESTROY in all caps and confirming before you can get the trash potions, poisons, food, etc out of your inventory.

How about a simple "Thanks, but no thanks" button on the giant nag screen ad that you have to get rid of before you can play? Log in noted, but "reward" declined, 16 hours to next opportunity, done.

Mark them as Junk and then you can delete without typing DESTROY by emptying the junk tab.
