✭✭✭✭It is traditional for the monthly ‘Daily Reward Whiner’ thread to be accompanied by a screenshot showing what lamentably low grade tripe is being thrust at us this time.
Simply whining about it is unhelpful.
On a general level, I recognise the use to new players of XP scrolls, the tri-stat potions and odd bits of gold,. I wish they were vaguely imaginative and gave riding lessons (one bane of new characters’ existence) or bag upgrades as well. Even then, I don’t know many players that, even after the double XP fest we’ve just had, don’t have a stack of these still clogging up their inventory.
I object to Crown Crate garbage pots, poisons and shite that I don’t see anyone using ever and which can”t be destroyed without typing DESTROY. They just make me annoyed, which is a pretty poor thing for a ‘daily reward’ to do.
I am amazed that the marketing team behind these doesn’t attempt to generate interest in money generating areas like outfit styling or furniture/housing by putting outfit style tokens or small furniture packs in the list. It’s almost as if the marketing team can’t be arsed to actually market anything.
However, my main criticism is that the daily rewards are a glimpse into the ZOS mindset, they show us how ZOS feels about the game (and to some extent its players) every day we log in. And the glimpse they give us is one of tedium, stagnation and dreariness, something that is created with such little care, attention to detail and imagination that they can’t even get the number of days in the month right every time. And if ZOS cares that little about something you see every day you log in, how much do you think they care about anything else?3 -

✭✭Could just avoid it and not use or interact with it you don't have to claim the dailies but some of the dailies are very useful. Its your loss. But well that is up to you. They don't need to have an option to turn it off since its an optional system. If you don't interact with it you get no benefit from it. Yeah I can see them putting in a option to disable the reminder and advertising thing that pops up when you log in. That should be able to be disabled. You don't even have to really look at the box just close it and continue on playing even with a pop up reminder those can be ignored.PC NA

Hit ESC when the window appears and you will not pick up anything. No need to destroy anything at all.
Edit: Although I have to admit that a button to just disable it would be a more elegant solution. We already have three skyrim zones in the game that one small island in starter zone ep. Riften and Eastmarch. Plus they plan on doing the whole map of Tamriel that is their goal I think so they have to finish up Skyrim and other areas. Plus SKyrim is a good choice for location since there is many zones that have not been done with it . People shouldn't mix it with the very popular Elder Scrolls 5. Because its not Elder Scrolls 5. Its very different. Also I think there was both those that really want more Skyrim and those that don't. So that is a mixed one so they have to pick one side or the other. I've even done hundreds of hours of playtesting in the closed betas for this game and I, along with many others, have given valuable feedback about various things, and got ignored on every topic. It is an mmo an a business venture. So there will always be that favoritism when it comes to Marketing. They do operate this game to give players a fun game to play plus also make money too. Its both so they have to do stuff to make them money and that is why the business model is the way it is. We don't have to like it just the way it is. besides this i think zos OFTEN listens to players and tries to implement things - but honestly a lot of suggestions on the forum simply dont work well or cant be implemented as easily as players think13 -

I've seen more players wanting a proper Skyrim expansion in ESO than ones that didn't.

However, I'm all in favour of having the option to disable them for those that find them more irritating than gratifying. There's nothing wrong with having choice, even when there's nothing wrong with the default position as in this case.5 -

honestly i always saw the same 5 guys voicing loudly their opposition because according to them a 10 year old game that they have played for 50'000 hours is still to recent to EVER do anything in Skyrim again (Dont seem to have an issue with the other TES regions of past games tough) - you will have complaints about EVERY region because people have their favorites that they want to see or dont want to see...but i hear and see a lot more excitement and support than opposition...
I am VERY excited to see the rest of Skyrim - not only for the nostalgia but also to see where they will take the story... and then 2021 i will be looking forward to the hammerfell chapter or whatever.... and every new chapter was better than the one before so i am excited6 -
