Running into problems after newest patch (April 15th one)

So, opened the launcher as administrator (which I always do since it's just better that way) and it updates the game. But then it decides to give me the message of "Unable to determine current version. Please run the Game Consultant Tool and contact Customer Support."

Which I did. I ran the game consultant, and I have a report to give. I went into support and clicked on email under ask for support. There's no way to attach a file there, so I'm waiting for their reply. (I have attached the report to this post to be viewed.)

So, after running the game consultant, I went and clicked repair. At first, it wouldn't do that and I kept getting the same message. I ran the game consultant again, and this time hit "apply" instead of "cancel" when it was done, and then i had the play button. but now for some reason the game has certain spots tinted oddly (seen in the attached picture). I'd rather not play with an odd tint to the game.

Now, I saw something about deleting .version files and then run launcher and then put them back in, but I'd rather not mess with files and have to end up re-installing the whole thing. I do believe that this issue only because of the new patch. My game was totally fine yesterday.

    you might try the graphics settings in your client, something might have lowered them. mine have been on the lowest possible settings since because anything higher and the game is unplayable on my laptop, lol. prettier though! but my point is, minimum graphics settings = blueish greenish character/crates/boxes/barrels etc. you get used to it. :smile:

    but see before today, i always had my graphics down low so the game would play smoothly but it was never that color. i don't want to get used to it, i want zenimax to fix it.

    You can always make a backup of the files before deleting.

    1.- It seems the "Unable to determine current version" error was because some server overloading. People reported that restarting the launcher a couple of times the problem went away

    2. If your client is repaired then we have to suppose that is ok so probably your problem is related to other thing.

    3. You are running a laptop, be sure that is on high performance and power plugged.

    4. If you have plenty HD space, always have an entire backup of the game folder. if the patching process goes wrong you won't need to install again.


    Regarding your problem, try these

    - Try deleting the file ShaderCache.cooked in C:\Users\youruser\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live

    The game will create this file again with "fresh" cache

    - Try deleting UserSettings.txt in C:\Users\youruser\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live

    Then enter the game, pick a quality setting, then see how it works. Try higher/lower settings just for testing purposes.

    Iv been having the same trouble with the game jest like that. But now blue I turned pink with black strips. Are thy going to fix this soon or should I do that?

    I see on there Forums it says "209/210 - Patch Manifest Error
    This error occurs when selecting the EU server. Users instructed to uninstall/reinstall client.".

    Thank you for the advice. When I opened the launcher today, it didn't give me the error message. So it seems whatever the trouble was is not happening now.

    Also, when I changed the video settings, the strange hue change went away.
