Sorry you guys are still having this issue. However, after a reboot I ran the repair tool from the launcher, restarted the app and it worked. Good luck!

try going to task manager and closing all ESO applications from there then try the launcher again. Apparently I had it running in the background but it wasnt showing up. have the same problem with LoL sometimes when I have login issues.

Also no update was installed to my knowledge and i just get stuck at the loading screen after typing in my password

Same problem, still trying to fix. If you're going to make people use a launcher, at least give it the option to close automatically after starting the game. Then you don't have launcher connections left open for days on end, and people that say the launcher bogs down their computer can look for another scapegoat.

Ditto. Error 209. Did a full uninstall/reinstall from the launcher and not the control panel. I deleted everything it would let me delete after that didn't work and upon launching i was able to get in. Probably not a great fix but it worked until i logged out to go to the store and now same error 209 again...i think we are owed at least a few free days due to unscheduled maintenance issues/patch issues.

Repair does not work and the consultant freezes at about 40% and after it staying in that one spot for 2 hours i just closed it and started trying other options.

Update: After my second re-install it seems to be working properly. I was fortunate enough to have a retail copy of the game to skip the massive client download and only had to download about 5 gigs worth the after install patches. Now I'm going to make a new restore point for my pc to avoid having several hours of repair time when the next instance of this occurs

I am also having this problem now. grrr come on zen test your updates in the dev version before moving to live. This is not fun for your customers.

So I have done everything that was offered as solutions on the forums to fix the Error 209 and 206 codes. I even uninstalled and re-installed the game. I deleted all the .VERSION files from the games sub folders and yet still I am denied. I paid $80 for this game and you guys sweep in and break it in a patch. I am hoping that Support is looking into this as I place a phone ticket and never got a call yesterday.

I had to close and restart the Launcher a number of times - a reboot seems to give better results - until FINALLY the "repair" button actually started the "Verifying..." process and ran through the entire patch file that I had just downloaded.

My best advice is don't give up. Keep trying that "Repair" button (or the repair option under "game options" menu) until it starts verifying. It may take you two to twenty times, maybe a couple reboots, but it should eventually respond and fix itself.

Count me in the debacle club. Multiple repairs are not working.
