elemental weapon are still BIS skill (much more better than spammables)

On magicka build this skill is overperforming and still slotted instead of class spammable.
Didn't ZoS said they are gonna increase the effectivness of spammables so they are better than weapon/guild skills?
Flurry has been nerfed but spammable are still weak compared to flurry (for stamina build) same goes for elemental weapons vs spammables (magicka build).
I've tested puncturing sweep on my templar and my dps parse is lower than when i use elemental weapons.
also Sweep weaving is had as I can't LA-Sweep under in less than 1 sec. ZoS should change the sweep duration to 0.8 sec instead of this 1 sec.

✭✭Elemental Weapon (+ the orb launch passive) does slightly more damage than Crushing Shock. But Crushing Shock has significantly lower cost. It's a trade off: sustain vs damage.
Even unstacked Molten Whip does more damage than Elemental Weapon. I think that the same apply to Warden Dive and Necromancer Ricochet Skull. Considering awful animation of EW, it's not that good as you might think in comparison with other magicka spammables.Edited by Olupajmibanan on 24 September 2019 09:0510 -

✭✭Every spammable has its pros and cons and specific use/utility. E.g. in dungeons I prefer using force pulse as cleave dmg, more penetration and occasional mag return (destro passives) are far better there. In pure ST fights, mainly in trials, elem weapon is usually better (a little bit more raw dmg, orb passive and status effect). Crushing is for utility (interrupt).
Depending on a situation and content, mNBs often use swallow soul if they need some selfheal or for the max mag passive.
If elem weapon was indeed BiS for all mags, then mDKs wouldnt use their molten whip and the latter is a clear winner in terms of dps.
As for magplar, it's obvious you do less dps with sweeps than with elem weapon xD Sweeps are extremely powerful in aoe situations and the selfheal feels like a godmode.
EDIT:
Lets not forget that elem weapon requires perfect weaving. And we all know how game's performance may affect it, especially in trials, so as a result many of your light attacks simply won't register and you may lose dps instead of increase it.Edited by Tyrion87 on 24 September 2019 09:229 -

Just... Why? It's a good skill, not op at all, specially not now after dot nerf where "spammables" will be so important.12 -

✭✭✭✭✭Elemental weapon is a spammable. It’s not any better than before, just DoTs are all so weak that they are not worth using over any spammable.
Edit: I’ll also add that Ele Weapon is the least forgiving spammable in the game. If you miss a light attack weave then the ability damage is also wasted.Edited by WrathOfInnos on 24 September 2019 18:143 -

If you wanna make the most out of sweeps just use a set like warmaiden and don't weave it, that's what I have been doing at it works fine, not every problem needs a nerf, if they decreased the channel time to 0.8 seconds then they'd probably nerf the damage too0 -

I get that from .1 each for the three hits, doubled by the destro staff passive.

Yes. Based on the mathematics, you would expect to get 0.6 status effects per cast (assuming you are not including the enchant probability).0 -

Delparis is a a funny guy with his threads but i can definitely get behind a buff to sweeps....maybe the zos standards of +50% damage LOL0
