Well this is just stupid. Improvement/turpen/shield bug.

I was improving a shield for my friend, the Shield of the Unassailable, we spent about an hour collecting enough turpen to ensure that his shield would not fail the improvement process, and when I took it to the woodcrafting station, put in all 7 turpen, it'd reset back to 1 and only 15%, this happened a few times, until I put it all the way up to 100% with all 7 turpen, and made sure it stayed that way for a minute, but when I pressed the improve button it only ate 1 of the turpen and destroyed the item, and that is just ridiculous, and now my friend blames me for *** it up when I had no control over the situation, I made SURE it was at 100% with all 7 turpen inside, and it still failed.

That bug is irritating as hell to be sure. One thing that might help, is that when you push E after allocating the # of mats it will prompt saying something to the effect of:

"Are you sure you want to use X of <mat here> for Y% chance at success?"

Even if the number on the dash below does drop back to 1, I would HOPE/assume that if the prompt is still up and you confirm it, that it would actually use X # of mats..

your friend sounds like a tool, your word of what happened should have been enough, seeing as how you were doing him a favor to begin with. thanks for the tip on watching what happens with upgrade mats, will keep my eye on it from now on

Yeah there was also a thread some days ago about a guy that improved an items with a 100% chance and it failed, he contacted the support and they basically told him that that's basically just how the system works and even with 100% you cant be sure it will work.. WTF?

Did you file a ticket or bug report about this in game or whatnot, if not you really need too I know you probly read they do nothing or whatnot on the boards but unless people accualy file these tickets in it will keep going unfixxed.

Not saying it will get fixxed from doing this fast but at least if enough people are submitting the bug to the company it will get noticed fast.

The prompt said it had a 100% chance of success, but then failed and only ate 1 turpen.
