So, I'm all excited: finally get to make purple Glyphs ! I make an ADD 52 Magicka glyph ! I put it on a pair of white gloves (no enchant on them) and the description says ADD 26 Magicka

WTH?!

I noticed the same thing yesterday with a Glyph I bought in the guild store. Once I enchanted the item, the stat bonus was substantially lower than what it said the glyph would provide when I bought it.

depends on the kind of equipment type. for example chest and leg equipment pieces get the full enchant value and gloves and waist a reduced amount. i'd say it's working as intended.

Thanks for the information. I didn't realize that's how it was supposed to work. Probably explains my issue from yesterday.

ALL glyphs are broken. I haven't had a single glyphs, crafted, or bought from a vendor work.

And yes, I've been applying to all armor pieces and none have worked properly.

It would be helpful if the tooltip was expanded to be descriptive enough to indicate what the glyph would adding based on the slot item you chose.

i agree on this, since i only found out about this by experience and not by using such expensive glyphs. and was therefore surprised/disappointed to see these reduced amounts on half of my equipment. I can't think of a simple mathmetical formula either to apply in your head with new glyphs in order to figure out what amount the smaller equipment pieces will be getting, in the time that a more detailed tooltip is still missing.

    I agree ...

The current tool tip is misleading. For the item slots that have diminished values, the tooltip should reflect that.

I understand the basic idea (large pieces of armor get the full effect, small pieces get a smaller percentage effect) but right now, that is not explained anywhere at all ...

This. How hard could it be to tell us what the enchantment will be before applying it.

    Had this same issue.

If some pieces of armor will get the full enchantment while others don't, that's cool and I have no problem with that. There should, however, be some form of a tooltip or message somewhere during the enchant applying process that lets you know this.

It even could be something super simple. "This piece of equipment will only benefit from X% of this enchantment. Using this enchantment will result in... [show equipment stats/whatever.]"

    Easy peasy.

Almost sounds as if it hit a softcap. 26+26= 52 If you hit a softcap you lose 50% of the points put in. For that to work though, you had had to have been on the softcap number then gotten +52 for a result of +26 instead.

It is there but still confusing. When you click to add an enchantment, available enchantments pop up. Once you select which enchantment you are going to use by single clicking on the enchantment, the before and after stats are visible on the piece in the pop up box, but you have to mouseover to see it.
