It is ridiculous that they didn't fix it already. I can`t do my crafting anymore since I ran out of materials. I loose at least 50k gold a day, not counting the gold matierals I don't get for refining. Will we get anything for compensation?

Writs are still very profitable, even without getting the surveys. Yes, you run out of materials faster. Yes, ZoS should fix this ASAP. However, you can still make good gold doing writs. My account that doesn't have Elsweyr is still doing them.

It's very likely that if you didn’t buy Elsweyr, you won’t get a surveys.

I agree, they would be profitable if I had the mats but I haven't. My time to play Eso is limited, about 1-1,5 hours a day and I could spend them collecting mats instead of doing nice stuff. There are a lot of bugs in the game but never have there been bugs, which affected only the players who didn't buy the new stuff and before you ask I play Eso since the beginning and I have Eso+

Still no drops for me either since the new DLC came out : 6 chars doing writs per day.

Is this a feature or a bug ZOS, cause listening to others and looking at my own experience...it looks bad from all points of view.

I already unsubbed ESO+ - will see if that makes the difference when the time runs out from the sub. And I'm not expecting a fix anytime soon.

8 toons since updated and no surveys here. I know you all said you would fix it when you can but that does not help the crafters. Will there be compensation for this as it was a bug created by you all?

Yes, it does feel like we're being punished for not buying Elswyr. Ironically, I am boycotting the Chapter until ZOS resolve Akamai degrading Australian ping. This survey issues further colours my attitude towards ZOS further into the negative.

As stated, If you have Elseweyr (and possibly ESO+?) it's because you're getting all the surveys the folks who don't have Elseweyr (and do have ESO+) should be getting.

Said it before, but my guess is they inverted an if statement in the loot drop logic and the folks with Elseweyr (and possibly ESO+) are getting the surveys folks without are supposed to be getting:

*should* be a ridiculously easy fix. Just invert that if statement. The only reason I can assume a fix hasn't gone out is they don't deem it important enough to take down the servers long enough to push the fix out.

Whatever, after the first couple days, (and finding this thread confirming my suspicion) I simply stopped doing crafting dailies until they push out the fix. No sense draining all my mats

I have Elsweyr

Have survey drops have been normal - which would probably be about 1 in 10 writs gets a survey. However, since Elsweyr came online have gotten 2 surveys in one reward several times. Never had that happen before Elsweyr.

I don't have Elsweyr, and I get surveys every day. RNG is RNG.

But I haven't seen a single Master Writ. Ever. THAT is how much RNGesus hates me.

To be more accurate, the official statement is some combination of DLC ownership *and* ESO+, which suggests having ESO+ is a requirement to have the issue. I'd be curious if there is anybody who has reported the issue who doesn't have ESO+, or if all those who don't have Elsweyr and aren't seeing the issue simply don't have ESO+.

(FWIW, have ESO+, only DLC I have is the Imperial Edition upgrade (which I doubt is a relevant DLC), and am seeing the problem.)

Hopefully though, this is all a moot point, and they're pushing out a fix in the maintenance tonight.

I do not have ESO+ (neither Elsweyr) on one of my accounts and I didn't get a single survey on that account (5 crafters, all crafts everyday since Elsweyr has dropped). Only gold edition + summerset on this account. I had ESO+ in the past, though.

On my main account I had ESO+ but not Elsweyr. Didn't get any surveys. Once I bought Elsweyr, I immediately started getting surveys (doubled actually). 14 crafters here.

I think you read too much into their precise wording as their wording is often imprecise... I will bet they meant that owning ESO+ or the at-issue DLC leads to the bug.

Anyhow, I wish the other commenter had listed their DLC ownership to help trace it (since they appear to be the only person reporting they don't own Elsweyr but are getting surveys in the past week).

Don't have ESO+, do have all zone DLC except Elsweyr, of course. Don't have any dungeon DLC, except ICP and WGT.
No survey so far after Elsweyr update.

I have Elsweyr and experience multiple double survey drops from my 12 alt since U22. I guess it is mentioned, but it is the first time they contain recent Chapter surveys (Northern Elsweyr Surveys), so maybe it is something about that.

I have noticed a distinct change over the last, few days. Survey drops were almost always a daily occurrence: a day without at least one survey was an anomaly. More often than not I would receive 2-4. I had almost 60 Craglorn surveys stored in a chest.

Over the last two, maybe three, days, not a single survey on 8 chars.

ESO+ subscriber, no Elsweyr.

Cut and Paste from Patch Notes

General

Fixed an issue that was resulting in an unintended number of survey reports being awarded from crafting Writ reward boxes.

Assuming ZERO is an unintended number, it should be fixed. I am testing right now.

And just to confirm, I received 2 surveys (on the same character) between 6 crafters and 36 crafting writs completed, as below..

I am non-ESO+ and non-Elsweyr.

I got 3 surveys from 48 turn-ins this morning after the 5.0.6 patch with a non-Elsweyr account. That seems like a low draw, but in the range of normal

I have had no interruption in getting crafting surveys with 15 (now 18) toons, and I DO have Elsweyr. I have never, EVER gone a single day without getting at least two or three. Never. And I've been doing writs with 15 toons for over a year now. Two days without any would seal it for me as a bug.
