Loot system for dungeons NEEDS to change

    Boss loot doesn't work like that though.

    i love to open chest, and so i rush to every chest but i always link in the chat what item is in it and if i dont need it i leave it there for the others.

    Honestly doing 3 dungeons as a dk tank and getting 1 blue ring i could not use is not fun... No incentive to play tank if it truly works like this

    This is a great system. Sorry you can't just run dungeons for guaranteed best loot for your level.

    The reason the game doesnt throw things at you is cause when you get something, its WORTH something. Not just "awww. I needed the staff!"

    When something drops AND if its an upgrade for you, you will be more happy the rare it is.

    If you want everything to drop something and even the game to choose that the item droped it something you can use....go play wow (They promised that moronic feature in their expansion)

    This is Elderscrolls. NOT WoW. This game is not for players who wants everything right away.

    I am a tank. Still havnt got much but loving the game. Please read about the game before you complain about it. You are complaining about how the core game is set up. It will not change.

    No lockout timers, go repeat the dungeon and better luck next time. This is a pretty standard MMO system other than, of course, World of Wombats which gave out loot like candy.

    RNG as in "random chance to get loot or not". RNG just means random number generator, or in other words here, randomly whether you get your drop or not ;).

    All of them drop loot. Just because you didn't get loot doesn't mean someone else in your group didn't.
    Remember, you're unique... just like everyone else.

    Doom and gloom. Changing this will ruin the game! Oh my god, what a tragedy! I should go back to WoW, a game I haven't played in years because I'm such a tool for having a different opinion! I couldn't possibly enjoy every other aspect of this game! Watch the world tremble under a simple suggestion in the name of fun! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    In short; some of you are extremely dumb. Have fun arguing and reminiscing of the "better days" of MMO's (which I've obviously never played!). /derp

    1 got 1 blue item from 3 dungeons also. And i tanked every boss. I guess the system favors the DPS players.

    No, today I did 2 different dungeons and every single boss only dropped soul gems in both dungeons. The only blue I got was the quest reward.

    yall consider saying to your group mates "ya dont need that mind if i grab it off ya?" or "ill trade you "X" for "Y"" or maybe you dont have anything and say "hey, ill buy that off ya" the need/greed crap was the worst! i was a raid leader at several points, and nothing is more frustrating in any situation (group or raid) than having to explain to a healer that the DPS dropped is for the DPS so that we can raid better not so you can solo fisher-price mobs faster. LOTRO had the system where you go in and everyone gets to loot. it was geared towards your class so you would have to run them quite often, but typically you got something. everquest had you out camping mobs for hours straight; the difference was no lock-outs. lock outs suck as much as need/greed. in wow i would do a rotation then stop playing for the day because i was locked out of where i needed to be so they can take money from me waiting on the lock outs. to make it more annoying, is waiting on RL friends (or the wife) to join ya on the lock-out "goodness" just to wait for nothing then have to cram in the lock-outs last minute.

    game life sucks sometimes, but its a game, you can walk away from it.

    Items from Bosses NEED to have a high value. The only way to achieve this, like others have stated, is to have the strong items be very rare.

    They cant simply give out purple items to every noob who got mad that the boss cleared him.

    On my first attempt at spindle my team got Wiped 5 times at the last boss before we perfected out technique and defeated it. 2 of us got blue items, and those items were level 15 and rival a green lvl 24 item in stats. Thats how you learn the value of items and bosses. You learned nothing.

    I can see the OP's frustration. I have ran every dungeon up through Deshan multiple times and so far have gotten a total of 2 blues not including the quest rewards. I play as a healer but yes I do through some hits on the boss with my resto staff.

    I thought I had read somewhere zenimax adjusted the math on how much contribution healers got towards the fight that effects the loot table. But it obviously is not enough. Would be curious to know how that actually works though.

    On a side note the blues you get there are crap compared to the crafted and enchanted sets I am wearing anyhow. So not really a game breaker though love to deconstruct them blues. Daddy wants dem mats.

    I'd say a rolling system has to be created. Highest roll wins( need and greed/ pass) so that everyone has a chance on loot on a boss. And it would be a lot better for chests. Now its a race who gets to open the chest first and he gets all the items if he doesn't share it. A rolling system would solve this.

    Well, the third dungeon I did finally dropped an item for me. Of course, it had to be an item I ended up buying off someone else before that. heh.

    But still, three dungeons and only 1 item... eh, still not that big a fan, but whatever.
