It will never happen sadly, but we can dream. Sure, there are actual houses in Cyrodiil with locks. Totally abandoned, but not available for us in Cyrodiil. I wish we could have housing in Cyrodill. Cyrodiil is my home, where we could share our dreams together or burn them.

But if I had a home in Cyrodiil, I will give all my enemies access to my house in Cyrodiil, then again I may be speaking treachery here. Alas, I really want a house in Cyrodiil. Won't happen sadly.

Yeah, but that is slippery slope. Add some perks to owning (rather than just flipping) a keep, such as some dyes, a mount, or perhaps even crafting station that would produce unique sets, and you could end up being dangerously close to meaningful PvP and gameplay generally. Shouldn't be near the centre of the map, but rather close to each alliances home keeps, with a nice view and a deck, like the Sleek Creek or similar. Also, the devs would need to make sure the houses can't be exploited as a way to fast-travel, so that players that don't want to buy the house are at a disadvantage compared to those who want.

I'm very pro this suggestion, as long as it's more like a "cosmetic" addition for role-playing, without any particular strategic addition

For example, the house can only be fast-traveled to via Transitus Shrine, and only if the nearest Keep are under your alliance's control - similar to all other places a player can teleport to within Cyrodiil. Of course it would be possible (though maybe dangeruos ) to go to your Cyrohome foot or by horse regardless of the status of the keeps.

As a final thought to prevent this addition from causing even more lag and loading time; since the houses are instanced, would it be possible that house itself is not in Cyrodiil physically speaking - only visually?

What I mean by this is though the house is visually seen on its own location - when a player first enters the house via the door or fast-traveling, the player is actually another place than Cyrodiil (maybe in limbo or something), even though the scenery is a static view of the surrounding area of the house. Just like all other houses.

PS: Just realized that if the house could only be entered if you're already in Cyrodiil, so teleporing to the house from anywhere in the world be not be possible - and this would be the right way to do it. If there is a queue to enter Cyrodiil, the player seeking to enter their Cyrohome would naturally need to wait in line with everybody else in order to get to their house.

Thus leads me to the question of whether or not players in their houses should count towards the total player count in Cyrodiil - and I think it shouldn't, at least not after 5 or 10 or 15 minutes. A quick pit-stop to your house should not prevent them from re-entering the battlefields

Once you enter your house, your "spot" in Cyrodiil will go to someone else after a certain amount of time, and in order to exit the door you have to wait till its your time. This might s*ck, but would be a part of the package If you found yourself in this queue, maybe the player could be presented with the choice of leaving Cyrodiil enterely, as the player simply wouldn't be in Cyrodiil anymore anyways, practically speaking. Then being teleported to last place they were before entering Cyrodiil.
