Launcher Issues. Again.

Began downloading the patch and the launcher self-closed at 19.89%. Now when I relaunch the game, the launcher screen image comes up but I cannot interact with it at all and the download does not progress. There is no way to click on the repair function as there is nothing clickable on the screen.

This is the same issue I encountered about a month ago. I found no solution before but to completely uninstall and reinstall the game. I really do not want to have to do that again.

Advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.
PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.

    Delete the launcher application and redownload, see if your download carries on from where it left off there's no reason it shouldn't with the same install directory.
    If it's happened twice though I'm sure there must be an underlying issue in you computer setup or hardware.

    Try connecting through a VPN (plenty of free ones around). This has solved issues for some.

    Good luck though. For the last 6 months I've been unable to get the launcher to work correctly unless I run Firefox and navigate to a few web pages immediately after it freezes at the Loading screen. :/

    Don't expect much of a response. Bethesda support didn't have a clue and a post I made in the PC Technical Support forum was completely ignored.

    Using TCPView, I narrowed this down to the launcher not receiving calls back. Why this works ONLY with Firefox is anybody's guess. I've tried repairing, reinstalling a new Launcher, and reinstalling the game. Nothing works. You can let the Launcher sit for hours stuck at the Loading screen. Boot up Firefox (couldn't get this to work with any other browser), navigate to the above web page, and presto, the Launcher loads.

    Glad you're back in the game :)
