I know there are some online games that lengthen paid memberships by one day every time their servers go down, as an apology. We don't expect the same here, since obviously it'd mean everlasting eso plus memberships. But more information would've been nice. Something other than "couple of hours and even that's a rough estimate" once in a while; especially since it's the second time today. I understand being afraid of not being able to complete in time therefore avoiding saying something for sure but I'm sure developers can estimate how many hours they probably need, what's the max. in worst case scenario and ask the community to be understanding in case the assumption is wrong. Communicate with us! ty

not all is gold what's shiny - I tried BDO a while ago - well, for not even 2 hours - I just cannot stand these anime like characters and this *** hair - and I do not want to run around like a japanese *** doll - this is how it looks to me.
Looks like it will be a couple hours. But, this does give us time to update the add-ons. Glass half full.

Just downloaded Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.
See you in a week then...

when you say "some fixes", are you talking about the absence of a french translation in the game ?

I find that if your cup is half full you probably need a different sized bra.

I know we're flailing, and whining, and melting down here. And I know it's tough to listen to us complain.
But - if it helps - just think of us as one of your drunk girlfriends who's reached her limit and needs you in the bathroom holding our hair while we hover above the toilet.
Just hold our hair until we're back to normal, Gina.

I tried BDO not long back, thought it seemed good but was on a free trial and had no cash at the time. If there's one other MMO game I'd replace this with in the near future for at least a while it'd probably be that. Am a fan of JRPG's though so the anime stuff doesn't bother me. I like that the entire map can also be used for pvp if what I remember of reading about the game was right. No dungeons either, just the main areas. That seems like something I could get into and a good change from FFXIV/ESO, etc, but the downside is supposed to be that at the later stages it can be one of the worst grinds in an MMO trying to sort gear out.
To play for a while though and explore, do some of the content, play a bit of pvp, etc, it might be ok and something I'll try in the near future.

Game was fully updated and working fine other than the lag that has been there for years. But that is another issue. My question is why did my launcher just download over 41GB. Yes that is not a misprint, FORTY ONE GIGABYTES of patch. No error, no game fix, pure 100% patch download and install. What in the hell was that? I'm a PC player, not console. I heard there was such a patch back in August that happened to console players. But the devs said this patch was 3.2gb. It was not. I can assure you after gaming online since 1994 and doing 58 game betas, I am fully aware of the difference between a patch and a "game fix". Well that and being a retired network engineer and in the computer industry since 1971. So why did they say it was 3.2gb when it was indeed over 41gb. More than just odd I'd think.
You are talking about an update that came after 2+ hours. But yeah true, it's something. I just hadn't seen itOrdoHermetica wrote: »They have, though. There's an estimate in the announcement thread pinned in the announcement bar. The ETA is two hours.
It has nothing to do with rumored exploits or the fact that rewards of the worthy is still dropping old loot tables guys. Don’t worry.
I like these emergency maintenances.
New patch comes with new stuff to explore, you get a taste then boom 'server down in 15 minutes'. Then you sit there and realise how much you like the game.

Was gonna say that you might have it mixed up but if you know as much about computers/games as you said I suppose not. What I thought was that it downloads the patch, then applies the patch by running through the entire 50 gb's or so of the game on your pc. It does say applying patch and not downloading, but I've no real idea if that's right or not. It just seems insane that it really does download another 50gb. If it does then yeah that's really messed up, especially for people with low download speeds and/or a limited amount of gb available to download over the month.

What is this downtime starting an hour ago that you speak of.
I have not been able to log in for hours. I keep getting the message the server is down for maintenance. I even restarted CP and launcher a few times just in case.
Due to several issues affecting ESO Plus benefits and access, we'll be disabling logins on PC/Mac NA and EU today, October 22, at 2pm EDT. Note that anyone currently in-game will not be affected. In a couple hours, though, we do anticipate having to bring both PC/Mac NA and EU offline to complete maintenance, at which point everyone logged in will be kicked off.

vailjohn_ESO wrote: »@Maggi12 I can tell you what one issue is:
The problem for me is that the "missing" slots had inventory. I had 480 Bank Slots filled with items. I had let my ESO Plus lapse on this account so I couldn't add anything more but I could still withdraw any of the 480 items. When I logged on after the Nerfmire update, my Bank said I only had 240 items in my bank. Apparently the game had removed 240 items and tried to redistribute them among my character's personal inventory slots. Many of my alts are mules with already full inventories, so I don't know if everything got redistributed or if some was lost to Oblivion.
