How long will we be down?

I know there are some online games that lengthen paid memberships by one day every time their servers go down, as an apology. We don't expect the same here, since obviously it'd mean everlasting eso plus memberships. But more information would've been nice. Something other than "couple of hours and even that's a rough estimate" once in a while; especially since it's the second time today. I understand being afraid of not being able to complete in time therefore avoiding saying something for sure but I'm sure developers can estimate how many hours they probably need, what's the max. in worst case scenario and ask the community to be understanding in case the assumption is wrong. Communicate with us! ty

They have, though. There's an estimate in the announcement thread pinned in the announcement bar. The ETA is two hours.

Well, I could play Frostpunk, what is a really good society survival game, but it doesn't save correctly - so if I play this, it means i have to either play for like 10-12 hours straight - for as long as it takes me to play through a scenario that is - or not play at all, because the game will not save properly. I guess, 10-12 hours will be too long, so I might just wait here.

22:29 here, still can't enter the game. Even if I get in today, thanks to the great cooldown system on many dailies my gameplay is ruined for the next 2 days at least. Not a happy bunny, happening each update these days...

I tried BDO not long back, thought it seemed good but was on a free trial and had no cash at the time. I like these emergency maintenances.

New patch comes with new stuff to explore, you get a taste then boom 'server down in 15 minutes'. Then you sit there and realise how much you like the game.

It looks nice to the most part, I just cannot stand the avatars - well, and the way in which they present the tutorial section, with no difficulty whatsoever - you don't get hurt, there is no challenge at all - so boring and these child like cries from my avatar, so off putting - well, anime style - and asian women sound like they never grew up (which is not their fault, but it puts me off) - not my kind of thing, I really dislike BDO. It just costed me 5 bucks, so I am not too sad about having had a look at it.

And I am so spoiled by ESO's fully voiced presentation of the game world - BDO just has it in some places and not very well done.

If it does then yeah that's really messed up, especially for people with low download speeds and/or a limited amount of gb available to download over the month.

My download was right at 3.2 gig. I went ahead and downloaded it myself instead of having my friend do it this time.

Loginservers were down for a longer time, but people already logged in could still play.

Due to several issues affecting ESO Plus benefits and access, we'll be disabling logins on PC/Mac NA and EU today, October 22, at 2pm EDT. Note that anyone currently in-game will not be affected. In a couple hours, though, we do anticipate having to bring both PC/Mac NA and EU offline to complete maintenance, at which point everyone logged in will be kicked off.

ZoS doesn't fix all exploits . Most become features .

So, again:

The servers were up, but there were issues introduced by the Murkmire DLC. So, while they allowed people who had already signed in to stay signed in, new sign-ins were disabled. The server has since been taken down for a two-hour maintenance.

This is explained in the thread pinned in the announcement bar.
