This game is now more frustrating than fun to play in my opinion

So I was in Cyridiil tonight chasing after zergs that just run round in circles, fast as feck NBs that cant be hit even when you manage to trap them in talons because they cloak and whip and dragon leap won’t then work. I mean who thought that making a class that uses invisibility super-fast was a good idea. To make matters worse 4 out of 5 range attacks are dodged against them.
I spent 10 mins chasing a Nb before managing to kill him more by luck than skill. I then watched as about 10 Ad chased another NB for about 10 mins, not sure if they killed him as I got bored.
Now I’m not blaming NBs or zergs for all this fun we are having running around in circles, I’m blaming bad game design. This is not rocket science, these back and forward zergs cause lag and are not in any way fun to play against. The same goes for these speed build disappearing NBs that run around in circles without managing to kill much, (there is some exceptions who do) but are hard as hell to kill.

I remember enjoying big scale battles that made you feel that you were in a Braveheart type film, those days are gone replaced by running around in circles chasing zergs and NBs.
If zos put a bit of thought into the pvp there would be no need for all these nerfs. Let’s face it, its no fun spending ages farming gear or learning a play style only to have it nerfed.
I realised tonight that a game I have played since launch is now more frustrating than fun. I am really wanting to believe that the next patch changes are going to make this enjoyable again but I am running out of faith in those that brought us lag,lag then even more lag.

Notice that I never mentioned sorcs, ain’t going to poke that sore spot lol
And before anybody asks no you can’t have my stuff.

    The days of the really good large battles are gone thanks to ZOS's failure to fix the lag and persistent performance issues.

    But hey, we got a overall speed nerf! (That nerfed a lot more than it needed to.)

    The days of grand scale battles with numerous huge groups all over the map attacking keeps are over at least on PC-EU

    There are now 1 big EP group and 2 or 3 small. One large AD group and at least 1 small group. And DC consists of several small groups. Battles are maybe at 2 or 3 places on the map.
    Mostly at Nikel, Bleakers or Glade.

    PvP is sadly in decline. At least compared to earlier days. Maybe it is stable now.

    Yeah it's been like this for 2years+ for me and ZOS are aware of your frustrations.

    They don't do much about it because they know they don't have many competitors. The day that a great MMO will get released, they will fix what they could have done in 5years in a month.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly
    • Remove Block Casting through Battle Spirit
    • Fix the speed drop while jumping - see video
    • Fix loading screens when keeps upgrade
    • Fix Rams going crazy (spinning around)
    • Bring back dynamic ulti regeneration

    I also believe this to be true, but the community will be so sour at that point that most people will give the new game a chance. I know that I will!
    Been playing this game for a little over 3 years, and it has never been so bad, unbalanced and unfun to play ever before

    I've barely played over the last year and have recently returned, again, after months away. I loved ESO PVP from 1.6 through 2.2. I have mixed feelings about the state of the game.

    On the ZOS side, they're doing a terrible job. The performance issues and bugs are as bad as ever. It takes them way too long to fix things; if things get fixed at all. And the business model of introducing new OP sets with new DLCs every few months upsets balance. I hate almost all proc sets. I hate that ZOS is trying to raise the floor and lower the ceiling.

    On the player side, there are a lot of positives. I find there are fewer traditional ball groups and more fights involving mostly single target abilities. Those are great fun. This is especially true when playing after midnight EDT on PC/NA/Vivec when the lag dies down.

    I've had some amazing objective fights against oldschool players that didn't involve any ball groups. They are great fun, win or lose.

    Another positive is that I don't think there's ever been a time in ESO PVP when there have been so many competent players. I think a lot of credit goes to the leaders in the community who have stepped up to facilitate organized GvG and duels. I find competitive players are also more prone to fight each other open world than they used to be. There are a lot of good fights out there when server performance permits it.

    I've played since closed beta but haven't logged in in about 3 weeks. I'm with you - the game has stopped being fun and I'm on the verge of uninstalling and cancelling my ESO plus. At least there is no shortage of single player games around at the moment to pick up. Perhaps a break is the answer - only time will tell.

    I have played since beta and I have never ever had the issues I have now in Cyrodiil for the last month


    I crash at least once every night and crash again trying to log back in
    Skills stop working
    Combat Bug
    Sprint bug

    I am on the fastest internet I have ever been on, my computer is not a potato
    I dont get it how this game just keeps getting worse and worse these days

    i bet they didn't because you sound like a dragonight Tank.
    Tanks aren't spose to be able to kill anyone and if they do it was cause the damage dealer was too slow or he wasnt built for defense of any kind.
    the only "bad Game design" i see in your comment is that you are able to stop the damage dealers and kill them and that you are able to not only hunt but also kill members of zergs.

    Zerg or be zerged is what I am made aware of. But yes, that was fun, skills not firing at the proper times.

    I have the same problem, touching Vivec pretty much any time of the day is bound to be laggy. Big fights around keeps is usually a definite crash... It's sad how the lag has deteriorated instead of improving :/
