You can't flip a switch like that on ESO. Too many accounts have the same name on multiple platforms. Accounts, guild names, character names...
It would be better if they released ESO 2 then the fight would be on to claim your name.

I can see issues with the name thing, but other games have already addressed this. WoW for example when they merged servers. Bob from server A would show up as Bob-A. So it would be easy actually.

The name thing doesn't seem like an issue to me.
Game performance would be the issue. It wasn't designed with crossplay in mind.

But you can just flip the switch. It happens during server merges in games. Even happened in WoW when they merge some low pop servers. Whoever had the name the longest kept it and the other had to change. In this case with the way the consoles work the PC player would have to change probably.
