I Just Figured Out ESO, Need Help Now!

It took many pre 10 alts to get it but I think I just did:

In ESO pick the most appealing class (4 classes so its not that hard) and play it..That's pretty much it! You can fill ANY role you want with that class.

The thing is all class abilities use mana/magicka so they pretty much all cast lol
All classes can use a staff and bow so they all pretty much can be ranged lol
They all can wear any kind of armor with any combination lol

So back to square one and I am beginning to miss the rigid clarity of WoW class system :/

Here is what I have been looking for and just can not for the life of me figure it out:

Hate: Healing / Melee
Love: Ranged DPS / Caster DPS
Built to handle pulls of 3 with solid control in both PvP and PvE

Thanks

God, I don't. It turned players into one-trick ponies who just can't think outside the Trinity.

Step 1: read descriptions of skills
Step 2: pick skills that are in line with your goals

I'm not being snarky. That's just all there is to it.

If you want to play a Battlemage, then obviously pick skills that offer you heavy armor bonuses, destructive magic bonuses, and bonus to your weapon of choice.

    Etc, etc.

You'll need to abandon the idea of "Well im a Wizard" or "I'm a deathknight" and visualize what YOU want YOUR character's "class" to be in your mind.

Want an arcane archer? You can do that. Someone else may call it a Mage Archer.

    Ok thanks..One last question:

Is it true that race is aesthetics more or less seeing how by max level all stats will be soft caped any way?

Some races are "best" at certain skills.

Personally I don't think it makes a whole lot of difference though, unless you care more about min/maxing at ALL costs to squeeze out 1% extra combat efficiency.

Oh you speak out of my heart! I am not in favour of the one class only system!

It is so much more challenging to work ot your char skills in for imstance a mage tree, rather a specialist of one than no master of anything!

You _can_ specialize, if choosing skills from multiple trees is just mind-boggling for you.

Pick a class tree. Fill out that tree. Congratulations, you've focused on one skill tree.
