Welcome to elder tanks online. Today we will discuss mag sorcs. As of right now, wards are the sorcs only defense. No good heals. Cant roll dodge and block, all you can do is ward, and streak while people gapclose you and spam snares. Go fight outnumbered or in a 1v1 against a goodplayer who can pressure and has thumbs. Pay attention to how many times you need to ward while said player with thumbs pressures you. Or while you are hit by multiple people. Proc sets, and snipe. You may say dont play solo, but with negate stam sorcs, no good mag ults for ulti dumps, and no snare removal, or spin to win. mag sorc is useless in a group. But anyways pay attention to how much you ward. Now picture how much you would need to ward if those wards were being crit. Now picture having a 1 second cast time on those wards. A cast time that also gets bashed. And doesnt let you cast for another 2.5 seconds. No warding for those 2.5 seconds. And dont think about dodgerolling or blocking. Because without a tripot up, you are dead my friend. Sorc will be defenseless. The damage is already mediocre and super telegraphed. we have nothing but survivabillity. ( again no movement speed or snare removal ). Lets look at bar set ups since overload is gone too. My bar set up right now is frag curse innerlight forcepulse and fury with dawnbreaker. Backbar is darkdeal hardened ward. Healing ward. Streak, harness.overload. my overload bar is mines. Ward, psijic crit buff. Crit surge, and boundless storm. Now remove that overload bar. I lose crit damage, and kiting utillity from mines. No major buffs either. Lets say with wards taking so long to cast and being unreliable, you take off harness. there goes a lot of sustain, just so you can use your major resistance buff to make your hardened ward a bit stronger. Since it will be getting melted through. Lets say you need a spell damage buff. and spell pots arent viable, since you are mag and need trip pots for stam. So you take off innerlight. There goes crit and max mag. and your counter to stealth. But i dont run a cc. And lets be honest, almost everyone needs a cc to play. So you drop dark deal, so you can run rune prison. That would be a huge sustain loss but dont worry, the sustains cut in half. You recieve the other half over 20 seconds. But with these changes you will be dead and respawned at full resources before that 20 seconds is up. So now you have lost utillity from mines, crit damage. crit chance. Max mag for ward strength, and raw damage. Your sustain is trashed, no more streaking for any movement. You are down 1 ward. No snare removal still. Mediocre damage in a tank hp meta. So lets say you drop all damage sets for sustain. Lets say with these nerfs you can somehow manage to survive on your sorc, you no longer have the damage to actually kill a player. This feels like zos is actually just trying to remove light armor. They just want a high hp, high resistance tank meta, no one does damage, no one gets 1 vx, no one dies. Just run around and capture objectives. They dont want skillful play. Because with a skillgap. New players get discouraged and leave an already dying game.
