Master Writ Bug?

Now Ill preface this with mentioning that I do master writs en masse. I will write down the writ requirements and head to my guild hall and craft 30-40 writs at once. Then I will head to Rolis, take a psijic and turn each writ in one by one.

I had a bunch of clothing writs on my char, and in my bank. Some were duplicates where I had 1 on char and 1 banked. So I withdrew all my writs from the bank and went to town. I made note of the writs that I had multiple of, because I have to craft extra of those particular items.

I went through my process as normal, except now I have no more writs, and all the extra items in my inventory.

In other words, the writs I had multiples of seemed to have been deleted when turning in the first one.

Always a good idea to get the quest confirmation for a successful craft attempt on a writ ... even if it takes more time.

You don’t really need Ambrosia over the CP cap ... and under the cap it’s debatable.

What are the items you have extra of, and how did you craft them?

If you use Writ Worthy to craft alchemy and enchanting master writs it will make double if you don't already know all the traits of the items it uses to craft.

Just a clarification on how writs work The writ disappears upon taking the quest. Not turning it in. So if you have dups and you accept one (you should have one less). Turning it in should not consume another.

I had some dups too now I'm wondering if I should have been paying closer attention.

Example of items that were crafted on multiple writs:

Shoes-Epic-Reinforced-Oblivions Foe-Yokudan.
Sash-Epic-Divines-Hist Bark-Ashlander

I had 2 of each of the above. I now have 1 of each item but no writs. This occurred over 4 groups of writs (4 groups of 2).

I am on PS4/Na. No mods.

I did not check my inventory to see how many of the writs I had consumed at the time before turning it in, because as a rule you can only consume one of that type at a time.

I always run-away a few meters, wait for the xp gain then open inventory to start next writ. Its about the same amount of time that I wait when depositing into the guild bank, where I used to get burned all the time at the bug that STILL exists.

Also, a psijic turns 74k xp into 107k xp. When youre turning in 20 writs, thats an extra 660k xp. Equal to the xp from about 9 writs. Well worth it for those under the cp cap.

I believe it will show you have the same writ twice in your inventory but the two that are matching only match in the item, quality, and voucher amount. The trait and style could be different and still count as the same writ in your inventory. Hope that helps!
