what term of MMO didn't I understand?????? you sir should go back to playing as you are happy about this..Me I am not and I am here to express that..Is that not what forums are for???Drama, drama everywhere.
It was always very clearly stated as being a grace period. Never did any dev mention "free" time or "compensation" of any kind.
I'm also pretty certain people holding until sunday to enter their code will be greeted with "27 days left" once they do.
I understand it's easier to follow the bash train, but if you don't understand basic MMO terms, it's your own fault.

Usually that means your 30 days will be classed as starting from day of launch whether you entered your key 2 days late or not.
Nah.
Just think about it. If people who never knew this game existed, and only learned about it a week after release, bought it and set up a sub, then got 23 days of free time instead of the promised 30, they would start a revolution.
No, you buy the game, you get 30 days with the purchase, and those 30 days don't start ticking down until you set up a sub plan.
GRACE period is for those that are waiting one there copy that isn't me..Im digital that part said more time..READ AGAIN
Thank you I needed that info as well as I will purse this till it is put right..Read the post from the dev then that email omg really..This will help a lot. Do you mind if I use your post for further complaints..It is even more clear in that email......Nice and tyrob_aspinneb18_ESO wrote: »Ok, just to throw the cat among the pigeons...
My bro complained to Zennimax support about the poor service received by EU Early Access players. Basically, if you worked 9-5 you lucked out due to server downtimes during EU peak access. He got this reply...

Greetings!
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.
The Grace Period is an extension of free play for, roughly, an additional 48 hours for all players that pre-ordered or pre-purchasedThe Elder Scrolls Online. We are granting additional free game-time to these players for their patience throughout the various maintenance windows that we experienced as we readied for launch day.
Thank you for your continued interest and support!

Well, that is nice. Warm fuzzy feeling and all. Where does it say anywhere not to redeem your code? It doesn't. So I vigilantly redeem my code today and discover i now don't get the two free days of game time which is stated to be some sort of thank you/appeasement. That sucks.
However, is the two days of free game time really due to the poorly handled/timed server down times? Well, only if Zennimax are able to see into the future, see here... https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5661
*So anyone who worked had a really bad 5 days early access
*The stated recompense was already planned for other reasons so they misled us into thinking it was to make up for the poor service.
*To benefit from the extra 2 days you had to, counter intuitively, not enter your code until 2 days after getting it.
*They failed to tell anyone that the above would be the case and actually told people to redeem their codes.
I love the game but even the fanniest fanboy couldn't fail to see why they need to sort this out.
Zennimax, its simple, for game codes redeemed prior to April 16th, make the 30 days start on April 16th. Why you didn't do this in the first place is beyond me. That you did it the way you did and didn't communicate this clearly is also another massive oversight. Pretending the grace period was anything but planned all along is a poor show.
Please sort this out. It is already souring public perception of you.
Thanks
no wasn't at you was in general .sorry im not great with typing or grammer im old and don't really care as long as it can be somewhat understood..But I should learn to post better if im going to complain this muchfoster_smb16_ESO wrote: »GRACE period is for those that are waiting one there copy that isn't me..Im digital that part said more time..READ AGAIN
If that is to me I'm not even arguing with you? I'm talking about what a grace period usually entails and that I expect Zeni will follow that same formula.
I agree with you their PR spin about the grace period makes it sound like they are giving us something extra, but the reality is right now if you entered your code we get nothing.
I've got a digital edition too and I'm entering my key when I get home from work, mostly cause I want my imperial items. So I'll be 'screwed' out of two days free too if it turns out not entering until Sunday works. But I don't expect they will right now so I'm not bothered enough to wait.
I highly suspect that "grace period" does not mean a free 2 days... so when you enter your billing on Sunday, you jump down to only 28 days available like the rest of us.

lol so when I register my code after 2 weeks I get only 15 day free time? or if I register my code after 4 weeks I get no free time?

Will I have this time refunded to me or am I getting cheated out of my own paid for time? Also note the servers are still down... haven't been able to log in for 2 days due to "login timed out" every time same for 3 people I'm with on skype. Answers please?
