Lol we were transporting a scroll last night on Vivec NA riding full speed and then ground textures stopped loading and stuck riding in place watching my team ride away and seeing the enemy thundering up behind and then texture loads and I start riding forward just in time to get steamrolled. Or in the middle of a ground fight, and the Cyrodiil loading screen pops up for 10 seconds, then back in to a death recap.
Makes for a disappointing experience! Other times I can play just fine with 50+ people casting and running and whatnot, dolmen zergs are never a problem, so I know it's not my system.
So do you just log in to Vivec so you can dc and complain? I'd have given up and switched campaigns,
I think the biggest problem is it being the largest zone in the game, by far. So much time spent just riding! Can't imagine what a grind it must be for new people with low riding speed, or even no mount, lol. Even with Windrunning and max Rapids, it still takes forever to get anywhere. I think they could realistically cut the zone size by 1/2 and reduce the resources that have to be drawn and improve the gameplay at the same time.

After defending the keep some mates got 172k, some got 4k, some 1k and some nothing.
Can this be true?
1k, 4k, nothing for 20 mins of fight?

as i state at my main post or comment, i play mostly pvp... i dont want to play on an empty shor 80% of the time. Everyone plays on vivec, the most alive server of them all. Why would i waste my time to a 7day campaign, to get rewards that have no value? or to be top 50 to a server no one cares about? no point

Yes but iirc Vivec is the auto pick server for people joining pvp so its bound to get flooded during the event

Popped into NA Vivec today just to get my AP for the Transmute Crystals, get a PUG group, ride across the map, get to the keep under siege ... DC immediately, log back in, stuck in a load screen, DC again ... log back in, port to the closest keep, stuck in a load screen, DC again ... eventually get back in right as the tick pops, totally miss it.
OK, on to the next fight ... stuck in a load screen porting across the map. Finally get out, ride about halfway to the keep under siege ... it flips, everyone gets the tick, but not me.
About an hour in Vivec so far and zero AP to show for it. I now remember why I don't PvP. Because it sucks.
Event over...crashing continues. @ZOS_GinaBruno any chance we get some type of response before the summers out?

bro most people here either want to be friendly till death with zos and comfort every single developer to the point that they will support them by insulting other forum members. It disgusts me. Also those kind of posts never get any attention cause of the point i stated at first.Everyone knows the problem but they avoid to confront it and support the complaints untill people are long gone and problems are gone along with the players.

I'm one of those people, who tend to stick up for developers, but not in a case like yours where you're giving constructive criticism - I support that, it only makes their product better. But when people say weird, mean stuff like they don't know how to code, it's just like... really? It's just mean, discouraging, and probably frustrates them when people say things about their competence, or that they don't care. There are two big things that stand out to me in regards to what effected the quality of the game overall; I think they bit off more than they could chew by including so many platforms, and different languages; changing from the sub based model, to the free-to-play after purchase model, which may have made them more frugal about making big changes.
I'm guessing the reason they don't just go out and buy new servers is because the time-frame in which all of this lag occurs makes up too small a portion of the day to warrant new servers - especially if the population is dwindling. You could try and convince them that if they improved cyrodiil the game would attract people, but if they haven't done it yet, either ZOS, or Bethesda have found some reason to postpone the upgrade, or to not do it. They might even be contracted to use a particular set of servers for a specific amount of time. There are lots of things that can make upgrading this stuff really difficult.
Maybe ZOS should just make a pvp server

@pzschrek I am also speaking from a DC perspective. AD and EP pop lock most servers. I guess i shouldve added in that caveat. DC small scale faction confirmed. #lowpopbonusfordays
on D'Albei last night, i had 4, went against 6, was a good fight. over 16k ap just for that.
AD zerging down Aleswell, set up 3 catapult, annihilated their first wave with only 7 in my group. Glorious.
Not trying to downplay anyone's connection issues or shift any blame, but there are a lot of things between your network connection and the server that can result in a degradation of performance. I spent a LOT of hours in PVP during the recent Mayhem event connected via 7-day Shor, which nearly always at max capacity. Apart from an occasional slow loading screen and stutter in game play, I experience very little in the way of connection issues, and I participated in many huge battles that were simply awesome. The only issue that really got to me was the sprint bug (a matter raised in a different thread).
I know it's frustrating as hell to deal with drop connections and unplayable lag, but I'm not convinced its strictly a matter of ZOS and their servers. My bet there are probably many more who have little in the way of these issues who feel no need to post in the forum about anything.
