We are very excited to offer new PvP possibilities with the introduction of 4v4v4 small-scale Battlegrounds in Morrowind. However, just because we are introducing Battlegrounds with Morrowind doesn't mean we are walking away from Cyrodiil. We consider open-world PvP to be separate from small-scale PvP, and we want to be sure that we offer - and fully support - both.
As for Cyrodiil: we know that performance (both server and client) is often not up to par, to put it mildly. These problems particularly plague Champion-ranked Campaigns and, coupled with some of the balance issues and bugs that are still present, result in an often-frustrating experience for some players. We will be addressing this in 2017 – from Champion System performance to class/armor balance to client/server performance in large battles. This is a priority for us, but as these issues are extremely complex, we will be re-thinking how some of the systems in the game interact with each other; changes of this magnitude cannot happen quickly. We are not taking this lightly – change needs to happen. We will have lots more information on Cyrodiil balance and fixes shortly, but right now, we are focusing on investigating and testing different options.

any day now.....
Maybe they can't fix it. Maybe it will be lag for another 3yrs? I don't know though, I've seen a lot more negative posts recently on the forums.
Seems more and more people, new players and old, are getting tired of problems not being fixed or even commented on. Especially on the pvp side.
Why, because they either don't care because of the lack of revenue that pvp brings, or they cant fix it. Meaning they don't have the resources to upgrade.
Why, idk? With the supposed millions of accounts they should generate a good amount of income. @ZOS_GinaBruno

"If you’d like to learn even more about Murkmire, Creative Director Rich Lambert, Dungeon Lead Mike Finnigan, and PvP Lead Brian Wheeler will join the Community team in a panel to chat about the new zone (including its biomes and adventures), the new Blackrose Prison arena, and the changes coming to ESO’s open-world PvP game mode"
Changes coming to Cyrodiil with Update 20. Could be big-ish changes if they are talking about them on a panel.

The ZoS will NOT do anything to improve Cyrodiil. I will bet any amount of game gold to that fact.
Just random words nothing else...

Map changes that funnel groups will just make the lag and disconnects worse. And encourage even more cc driven game play. Not happy.
Last 2 days.
Lost 2 huge ticks due to disconnect today.
Lost a keep due to 6 of 12person group dc-ing at critical push.
Lost raid leader 3 times in 30mins due to dcing.
Mass DC Disconnect everytime we approach large Ash keep fights and large groups at Bleakers.
Stacking time-stop permafrost and hard ccs at choke points is forcing small groups to heal stack and soloers to run stam 2 handers builds. It forces magplars to go vamp. . EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A ROLEPLAY GAME! (My breton templar is disgusted by this. ) It means large groups have a 'rapids guy' just to push into other groups open field.
Add to this the broken break free and non existant/buggy cc immunity that affects players with high ping disproportionately and pvp feels like wading through mud in the great war trenches. Realistic but not fun to do.
Please reconsider making stam skills or going vamp the only way to manage the new snare meta before introducing the new map
TL DR
Please spend resources on fixing the current performance of Cyrodil and reconsider the effect snare stacking meta and cc bugs have, before redesigning the map.

We shall see.
The fact is that Cyrodiil has been broken for a long time, we know that, the devs know that.
I wonder if people here think that they enjoy having Cyrodiil as a broken component to their game? I sure as heck don't enjoy Cyrodiil being so broken and laggy and filled with exploits, neither does the rest of the playerbase.
Maybe they finally understand that they can't fix it and are going to change Cyrodiil? Maybe they are removing CP's from Cyrodiil? Or maybe they are just opening new campaigns? Who knows?
I'll be tuning into the live stream and watching with interest. If Brian Wheeler is there, they probably have something to say on the subject.
