Tbh they are worse than a regular elemental staff even without counting the effect isn’t persistent.

    That's, like, your opinion man.

Personally I quite like the design of the staff, it's stylish and minimalistic, and the fiery parts of the top and bottom fits my MagDK's fiery theme.

Since I also tank with her, the sword and shield will be used as well, and look similarly stylish yet not overdone.

Both the staff and the 1-hand and shield fits the Ebony outfit I usually use as well, when dyed a black hue.

The only thing that bothers me is the disappearing flames when the staff is not in use.

Weird, I thought this thread was a troll at first. I, personally, prefer that these ignite when you pull them. Rather than just torching your character constantly.

I did think that the Flame effect would of been consistently on, i hope they do change it so it is. Don't think i'll request a refund though, i just hope *foolishly* that they change it.

You're like the 10th person bringing up this argument, in a high fantasy world where people ride friggin tigers set on fire.

Well maybe I will be alright with some fire on top of my staff because my character looks like this:

    Or this:

And look, HERE IS AN NPC WITH A FIERY STAFF ON HIS BACK - AND LO AND BEHOLD HE DOES NOT SEEM TO APPEAR TO CATCH FIRE!!

Could we please leave this stupid argument at the door now?

Have any of you ZoS defenders even looked at the preview screen of the pack before you bash others for making stuff up?

The shield is sheathed and it's still flaming in this preview. I think it's pretty logical to assume therefore that all other weapons would be flaming when sheathed also.

Put your fists away and the shield flames go away. Try equipping a weapon with that shield (like you're supposed to) then sheath them and the flames go out. Get your 'facts' straight.

who do I talk to to get a refund @ZOS_GinaBruno

    thanks

the effect is obviously easily done, while sheathed, because I see it with molten armaments up.

Mate, I applied to the regular ESO Customer Support. Click Support, then Submit a ticket button in the bottom of the screen, then Steam or Windows depending on which client you are playing, then Billing and select "I have a game purchase issue", and then select "Refund Request" in the pop up "Select an Issue", after that click Next and fill in all tabs with describing your situation. Doing such a way, you'll get a refund

I'm glad if I managed to help someone by making this thread, because as far as I am concerned, I was really shocked by the first impression of how this stuff was intended to work by devs, since all illusions about the days on the horizon when my char will be extremely "fashionable" clothed (as was claimed by devs) were immediately gone when I saw how my money was flown away into nowhere( really sad, guys

I understand the particles disappear when sheathed, but when drawn are they constant or just for a few seconds like enchants?

Constant from when you draw it until you sheathe it.

Also, whether draw on sheathed, it does hide the ugly and persistent weapon enchant effect glow on your weapons. So I guess it's a 2,500 Crown solution to getting rid of permanent enchant glow

I would say in general crown is going downhill. The "new" armored knights set of costumes is a pretty old set that was in crown store for a year or so and got dusted off now and resubmitted. The word "limited " is abuse as well. Those limited things tend to come back to crown store all the time. Dwemer spider is one example of that. It was limited 5k crowns item around the release of hof and now it sits in crown crates or can be bought for 100 gems.

I've been going back and forth on this one. I mean, I would love to see what a maul would look like in this style, but at the same time, I can live with it. I mean, I'd never even have considered slotting the Troll King axes if there were other weapon types available, but now I'm kinda looking forward to that set, when it comes around.

Preview shows that all weps have fire effect permanently, and when they in sheath too. I purchased the bundle and thought that now my char will be rock-n'rolling with firing blunt behind my back, but i was misrepresented, because firing effect is only when it is ready to cast, without any firing effect when it's behind char's back.
    Any thoughts?

You cannot sheath weapons in the Crown Store preview window, and they are previewing as intended at the Outfit station - active effect when armed, inactive when sheathed. The Skyforge Smith Hammer style already functions like this so doubtful that it's a bug.

So I'm failing to see how anything is misrepresented, other than the existence of a sheathed weapon preview with the effect active.

The shield remains active in the preview on the players when put away though

I'm glad the effect doesn't stay while not drawn personally. Makes more sense that way. Flaming staff tip would result in some seriously burnt hair and no way I'm keeping a permanently ignited sword on my hip.
