Unbinding Turn/Look Off the Controller

Hey, Just reinstalled. I play mouse/controller like other people play mouse/keyboard. I dont need to hear how *** that sounds to you. It is just the way I play and have played this way since WoW. It is how I play all my PC games that require the accuracy of the mouse. I usually bind my movement (WASD) to the right joystick on the controller and also used to play this way when ESO first came out. It seems now no matter what I do I can not unbind the look/turn commands from the right joystick of the controller. Even turning the Gamepad setting to "Off" in the gameplay settings does not work. Anybody know of a way to do this or did I just waste $30 on Summerset upgrade?

    I use a 3rd party remapping program to reassign my keyboard/mouse functions to my controller. The in game options are far too limited. Joy to Key is free and fairly easy to use once you know how it works. Xpadder is also popular.

    Yes I also use keymapping software. The issue is the game does not remove the turn/look commands off the right joystick and conflicts with the command I use for that stick in the software profile.

    That's odd. My controller does absolutely nothing in game unless I map it. I play with controller UI set to off, meaning I just use the standard keyboard/mouse UI and remap all those functions to the controller. Are you playing with the controller UI enabled in game?

    No like I said I have it set to "Off" in the game play settings. Are you playing through Steam by chance? Maybe I am just missing something. Ill log bag in and have another look but I thought I exhausted all my options

    I don't play through steam. I'm using a wireless xbox one controller with windows 10 if that makes any difference.

    Yeah here is the issue. I am betting you have the look/turn command set up on your right thumbstick. I dont want that. I want my movement WASD to be on the right thumbstick. You are not getting an issue because the turn/look command is where it is suppose to be. If you tried and set movement to that stick it would conflict with the game. I have been through every setting and bind in the options and there is no way to unbind turn/look off that stick. I am even going as far as to buy it on steam...link my account and then using Steams Controller support to turn off all functions from the controller to see if I can get it to stop that way. If it does not work I am gonna refund it. Only $10 bucks right now so I figured it was worth a shot

    Ok great. But do you have the turn/look on the right joystick I just unbound everything in game and the right joystick still has turn/look bound to it. Or it moves the mouse in menus...again I want WASD bound to the right joystick. Even when I use my keymapper software it still conflicts with the in game command attached to the right joystick.

    Ok I am a stupid person.....for whatever reason My controller was using my config for steam. I shut the controller off in steam and now it werks as it should....this is a non-issue and is solved. Again I am an isiot
