Does anyone know a work around to get past the door? When I did this yesterday before the patch, a Golden Saint showed up and opened it. Now nothing. There is no way to go beyond this and finish the damned quest

✭✭Oh! yeah I found that bug and I submitted feedback.
If you log out after you get through the door but before finish the quest. When you log back in you will be back at the start but you can't activate to try to light the door on fire.
The only solution is to abandon (port out) and start the quest again.Edited by Narvuntien on 1 May 2018 01:480 -

You signed it when you logged onto the PTS the first time with the new patch. Also, those of us who were in the Morrowind Beta were automatically included into this round of testing.
Finally, yeah, the PTS board is private for the duration of testing. If you check the board directory while logged out, you won't see the PTS board.0 -

Night_Watch✭✭✭I reported a similar situation with same quest! I was unable to beat 'boss' so ported out to get better gear. Returned to find door, previously opened, had the barrier again with no way to burn it or talk to NPC. I had to abandone quest port out again and pick up quest again to restart it. This is not a massive problem for me as I know the old abandone restart trick and it is not a very long process to do. I mentioned in my report though that for an inexperienced user this is or could be a quest stopper and put folk off the game.

As for the NDA. Summerset PTS use is via only two conditions. First condition is that you got an invite to test Summerset using the Public Test Server (PTS). Second condition is that you did not get a Summerset PTS invite but you previously took part in the Morrowind PTS. Either way you have to meet one of the conditions or you cannot get into the PTS for Summerset. I can verify this as my main account took part in Morrowind PTS and has access to Summerset PTS. I have a secondary account that did not get an invite and did not take part in Morrowind PTS. Surprise! Surprise! My secondary account has not got access to Summerset PTS. Further, my main account logged in to forum gets the PTS section whereas my secondary account does not.
Non of us actually physically signed an NDA but by participating we agree to the conditions of the NDA. THIS thread is in the PTS section of the forum that can only be read by those taking part in the ... erm ... PTS for Summerset after qualifying as stated earlier.
