Sorry but I have only 3 spots left in inventory :P Cant take any thrash in so I just take gold and valuable set pieces.

Easy solution! Take the trash first, destroy it, take the gold and valuable set pieces!
But see, that would require you to value being considerate to others. It doesn't sound to me like being considerate is something you are willing to prioritize.

Flawed system, if others are roaming around and you have limited space, taking trash first opens up the chance others can snag the items you are actually after.
Something really needs to be done about this toxic way of playing the game leaving trash for other people wasting everyone's time I suggest that you can't loot another chest unless you previously loot everything to make the chest despawn, or till it despawns on its own.

it risks someone robbing me and takes long time to desteoy all trash every time.

Don't forget botters who are programmed to loot only good stuff.. I see a lot in groups walking around and looting stuff
Fyi just ran into nearly 20 opened chests in vvard, probably by the same person

Okay. Yeah, it does. You've prioritized your risk from other much more inconsiderate people (seriously, stealing a chest someone else is looting is low) over being considerate to others who are farming. Which is a decision you have to make, but it doesn't make you any less inconsiderate to the person who gets left with no gold, no xp, and your trash.
Again, I can't make you value being considerate to others, but I can tell its not something you are willing to prioritize.

I get your point, and I want to agree with you because I find those chests annoying, but I can't agree with you. Inventory management is so horrible in this game (and so expensive to fix) that a lot of players would quit before doing that management you want them to do. Personally, I take long breaks from the game in between single sub months because inventory management sucks so hard and there isn't enough new content to pay for a sub year-round..
I have to refute the idea that posting complaints about this type of antisocial behavior is "inciting hatred." That's ridiculous. I hated people who leave trash in chests long before I ever laid eyes on the forum at all. It's the behavior that incites hatred, not people complaining about it. If you don't want people to hate you, quit doing stuff that makes you a jerk.

I agree with the sentiment of your statement, but I think you are going to far in calling it Anti-Social behaviour.
I think valid arguments have been made both ways on the point, and I'm not saying you have to agree with either opinion, but I haven't seen any reasons expressed for people doing so that point toward people intentionally being jerks as you put it.
People have given reasons, and you may not find them to your satisfaction, but they haven't been "brecause I feel like it" which is what I would expect from someone being anti-social or a jerk.

Actually, some of them have been "because I feel like it". If you'd like I'll go find them but they are here.

You have my apologies, as I thought you were the person to whom I was replying in the post which you replied to, if that isn;t too confusing.

If I pick up that pointless piece of equipment in this chest I'll have to stop my adventuring and go back to town to sell/decon/bank all this trash... this is particularly bad in VVaadenfel where Vivec is the only place with a bank and crafting tables
... or I can just leave the trash in this chest and continue with my adventure.
By wasting the other peoples time and *** them off to make them leave the game as over a couple inconsiderate people? I would think ZoS would've done something by now

Shortened despawn time would make it less likely to come across the chest. I don't know if it would have much impact on the spawning of a new chest. It is more likely that some undiscovered chests in a strange and remote sections of the zone would influence spawning of new chests, if in fact there is a limit to how many chests can be spawned at a given time.
There is a boatload of information that we don't know about how the game determines where, and when, chests spawn. My guess is that the open chest depawn time is well accounted for in that equation. In other words, the time it takes to despawn an opened chest is shorter than the time that has to pass before the game spawns a new chest. The two being independent timers.
That is how resource nodes work, at least last time I checked.

A shortened despawn time would make it less likely to come across a chest? You may have misunderstood or misread what I was saying, because your comment makes no sense in relation to what I was talking about.
So, let me explain it again:
- There are fixed points on the map where a chest can spawn in.
- The number of spawn points always exceeds the number of treasure chests that can appear on the map at a given time.
- When the number of chests on the map has reached its maximum, one of the existing chests must despawn in order for a new chest to appear.
- The new chest will spawn at one of the open map points, based on an RNG determination.
- If you loot a chest fully, it despawns immediately, but, if you only partially loot a chest, it takes 10 minutes to despawn.
So ... when a treasure chest is only partially looted (and left that way), there is a 10 minute delay before it despawns, which also means there is a 10 minute delay before another chest spawns in . This type of delay reduces the number of chests that can 'spawn in' ... and THAT creates a situation making it less likely for a player to come across a chest.

I hadn't planned on commenting, as I am neutral to the subject, but I had a weird experience the other day regarding this. I was in Deshaan doing a bit of dolmen running when I came across a Master lock chest. Nobody was around, so I picked it and looted everything. Suddenly I got a whisper from someone who says "Thanks for ninja looting. You're supposed to leave something behind, not take it all. Rude". I looked and saw a vet rank player angrily hopping behind me.
So, I guess some players like have stuff left behind -shrug-
