QoL Feature Request: Zone Quest Tracker/Achievement (Console)

As a player with a total of 1 character who wants to get 100% completion of all PvE content, I think it would be very nice if we could get a zone by zone quest tracker so that we knew when we completed all non-repeatable questing content in a given zone. I imagine it functioning much as other achievements currently do (such as with world bosses and skyshards) where each one has a somewhat obscured description on it, and it gets checks off as you complete it. To be clear, I am not asking for any actual achievements or points for it. The reward for completing them is my own satisfaction, I only used the example of achievements because it illustrates the desired mechanic. There are a lot of quests in any given zone that do not have map icon or are far off the beaten path (just like skyshards can be) so I think it is reasonable to have a list of completed quests in a zone. ZOS please take this request into consideration as you consider future updates.

Edit for Clarification: I play on Console - Xbox

I'm sure there's a PC add-on that will do this for you, but since I see you're on console (as am I), I support your idea, or at least some variation of it. ZOS wants to encourage you to explore all areas of the map, which is why they don't have base-game mapping ability with skyshards, treasure chests. etc.; so I'm not sure how much they'd go for giving you even an obscured description of the quest. The best case scenario I think we can hope for would be a quest counter that just shows a generic number of how many quests completed out of total available quests for the zone. Example: Grahtwood - 22/37 quests completed.

The conundrum becomes quests that overlap zones. Does a main story quest that you pick up on Auridon, but are required to travel to Grahtwood to finish become a Grahtwood quest or an Auridon quest in the tracker? I can directly relate to your problem as I found a quest last night in Greenshade that I had never found/completed on my main AD character who has been around for almost two years and vigorously tried to totally complete all AD content before moving on to Cadwell's Silver/Gold. There's some obscure places that you just don't normally travel.

Cannot recall the name but there is a pc addon with quest markers. It does much more than that since it shows places of interest, WW/vamo locstjons and much more.

    Destinations. http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info667-Destinations.html

See if that fits the bill. It may not tell you what you have already done but should be able to help you find the quest givers. It does have a lot of settings.

Honestly I would be totally fine with even an X/Y completed tracker. At least it would let me know that there was something I missed. The core mechanic is to help you explore and find quests you didn't notice in an area, so if I see I'm missing 1 quest from a zone, I can go search the whole area meticulously watching my compass for a quest start marker.

As far as multi-zone quests, I would say that it counts where you pick it up, because that is where you need to go look for it. I don't care where it ends if I can't figure out where to start it in the first place.

There is also the question of quests which can be started in multiple zones, but regardless lead to a single zone (Dark Brotherhood, Etc.) Those should be included in the zone they lead to for the sake of simplicity.

Are there any other special cases we haven't addressed? I don't mind doing the leg work for ZOS on finding solutions to inevitable issues.... Anything that makes it easier for them to implement is good for those of us who want it to happen.

I would love this, but I am on console and so can not use addons. Thank you for the suggestion though.

Another thought - We have Cadwell's Gold, which is essential the same mechanic I am looking for on a VERY limited scale, with the main purpose of driving the plotline and engaging characters with the story. Then we have Achievements like skyshard hunter and world boss killer, which encourage exploration and completion of open world content. We also have eidetic memory, which encourages finding every book in the ENTIRE GAME. My idea for a quest version of eidetic memory hardly seems out of place in the game when you consider that the same sort of feature exists for so many other aspects of gameplay in a nearly identical manner.

This would be nice. I remember struggling to find a few quest in Malabal Tor when I first started playing. I ended up pulling a map that had all the quests and using that for reference.

Is there any intention of pursuing requests like this? Is there a better way to make a suggestion like this?
