I really don't like the change so that you can change any 1H weapon into the shape of any other 1H. The only reason for people right now to use an axe, or mace, or even sword is because of the look (in PvE at least). With this, everyone will just get a dagger, and transmorg it.
I swear, in near future, 90% of axes/mace/sword you see are actually daggers in disguise.

How does one acquire the "Hide Your Helm" hat collectible? It's not an acquired collectible on the template characters.

How does one save an outfit with a hidden helm or other piece of hidden equipment? The option is greyed out when one attempts to save such an outfit.

This is a known issue on PTS right now. Everyone will have access to both of these collectibles at launch for free.

Can we assign this "hide helmet" to a quick slot? That would be great if we could.

I don't find it ridiculous, the armor part. I do find it illogical for us to hold a big-ass mace and magically make it look like a dagger. That part I don't agree with.

It is flawed (taking a simple hide helmet feature and changing it in a way to encourage people to buy more outfit slots) but beyond that it works fine and doesn't introduce any new issues- seeing as you can already use costumes in PVP.

Wait does this mean if we want to hide the helmet on a regular costume, we have to completely give up the new Outfit slot just to create one with hidden helmet? I thought hiding helmet would be possible at any time but would no longer be done through the use of the setting, instead needing a station to change that.

There are two ways to hide helmet. One is using the outfit system via the Hide Helmet outfit style (which only hides gear.) The other is using the Hide Your Helm hat collectible, which can be used anytime anywhere via the Hat section of collections, and will hide the headwear part of a costume, as well as any helmet style in your outfit and your equipped helmet.

The Hide Your Helm is the true replacement of the setting. The Hide Helmet outfit style is an extra feature.

If you have the Wild Hunt Transform memento, yes.
Want an spigian polymorph, the walk animation of them is the coolest thing ever.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Now this man has the right idea

    +1

Towel, Caldwell’s Helm, and Broom. That’s the look I want.

At least until some lore junkie comes around to tell me I’m ruining his/her Immersion.
Had they had an tradition transmorg method, this would been default setup.

Yes race should been Argonian for lore reasons.

Yeah you can tell by the buffs they use, skills and so on but it will just look plain stupid if everyone is wearing heavy armor lol. I for one use magicka builds and this is an advantage to me, I could simply use dual wield on the back bar and look like a stamina build lol. Then I would be treated as such, meaning that my opponent won't know I'm magicka until I use a damage ability and that might be too late for him. Really hard to notice the warden class if the player only uses buffs.

And how is this any different from someone using a skeleton polymorph, or wearing a wedding dress, or a nordic bathing towel?

It's not. You can already hide what kind of armor, and how many of each piece, you're wearing with existing costumes. Sure, this lets you change the appearance of certain weapon types (1h and 2h, i.e. my sword now looks like an axe, but still has the passives of a sword), which honestly does not matter a whole hell of a lot one way or the other. It's not like I can make my greatsword look like a staff.

So yes, you could run dual wield on your back bar while being a magicka build, and it will in no way change the way in which anyone in Cyrodiil attempts to murder you. The only thing will do that is maybe if they suddenly discover you are tankier than they thought. Which, again, you can already conceal with costumes.

Also, to the point you raised in your initial post: "You won't even know what you're fighting anymore until they pop some skill"

Based on this thread, I'd argue you never knew to begin with...

no need for this, it is just cosmetics
for console-players it will have a certain impact, cauze I understand they cannot see what class is their opponent,
for PC it is just cosmetics
    not worth to worry about.
