Something funky going on with Jabs on the test server. It just feels off and harder to land. Is this an intended change or an unintended function of other changes? Can we get some clarification? It’s my favorite skill please don’t butcher it.

Just a thought...but does jabs snare you when you set it off? I know it snares your opponent... But if it did any self snare maybe with the changes it now doesnt snare as much, and you move past the targets much faster with the same movement as before?

There are a few other comments about this floating around. People reporting what feels like a small killbox, lower damage, or both.

I don't think anyone has done any definitive testing to isolate it specifically to this causation, but it's what first jumps to mind.

Jabs is fine vs. a stationary target, it becomes complete garbage vs moving targets.

It's not only the movement/targeting issue that Cyrus and JD are talking about (though that is bad enough to break the game for every melee templar) -- the damage is off, too. The skill seems to do less damage than on live (and it definitely does less than 140% additional damage to the nearest enemy), despite the patch notes giving us no indication that that should happen. What's more, the Puncturing Sweep tooltip no longer even mentions the 140% extra damage. Was this a stealth nerf?

Additionally, Puncturing Sweep no longer heals.

Finally, the sound effects for the skill have changed, and not in a way I can imagine was intended.

Something very weird has happened. Everything that could have been broken for both morphs of Puncturing Strikes seems to have been broken.

After I tested sweeps, The damage is lower, It's not healing me, I miss 50% of the damage on moving targets. The sound and times when the dot lands has changed. This is a disaster.

I noticed that jabs felt very awkward to use on PTS last night, as well as combat in general feeling "weird". Such as not seeing my enemy casting fear, only the effect on my toon.

I was dueling a stamwarden friend and it felt like I was dueling a well played stamnb, very hard to land jabs.

This is what mine says in cyro (sorry for potato quality, I use forums on my phone and to lazy to take screen print+upload to a site/email to my phone.

Looks like they want there to be a damage number instead if the 140% DMG.

So 3287 is almost 140% additional damage (should be 3314, right?). I mean, I don't have a problem with that UI change, as long as all the new problems mentioned in this thread get fixed.

Oh I agree. Just wanted to say I love the change to show actual numbers.

And while we are at it, can we get 50% healing done for the major mending removal oversight? ;)

Can we have some information about this? Many people really looked forward to magplar finally being viable again with these bug-fixes and now they are functioning even worse. And according to some pictures in this thread the extra 140% damage against closest target is now removed?? Would really appreciate some kind of clarification :)

@Qbiken at least according to the tooltips, the 140% extra damage hasn't been removed, the tooltip just now mentions the actual damage number =140% additional damage, instead of the percentage increase. (Though the tooltip isn't quite 140% for some reason in many instances, and the ability still doesn't seem to actually deal the full damage it should be doing, despite the tooltip.)

I just went and compared my magplar on live vs PTS and there is definitely something off here. I thought it was just lag at first, since I've had annoyingly high latency lately, but it isn't.

I'm sitting at around 200-250 latency on average at the moment on both live (NA) and PTS. On live, Puncturing Sweep feels more fluid and I can still light weave without too much difficulty. On PTS... I'm not entirely certain how to describe it, but the skill itself feels like it's lagging. The animation doesn't seem to match the audio and it's much harder to light weave. I also did just notice that the skill isn't healing anymore, despite the tooltip saying otherwise.

I haven't noticed lower damage on my target skeleton, but I also haven't seen a damage increase either. It's almost exactly the same as it is currently on live.
