Maintenance for the week of September 22:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – September 22, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 10:00AM EDT (14:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – September 22, 8:00 UTC (4:00AM EDT) - 14:00 UTC (10:00AM EDT)

Do they need to do something about leveling mounts and receiving mail on multiple characters?

As the OP says, spending 30 mins doing nothing but 'admin' actually keeps you way from playing, joining groups, doing quests, farming and otherwise interacting with other players which is what an MMO is all about.

I have two accounts; one with 10 characters, the other with 11.

I log onto the character I actually want to play. So while you are spending your "30 min doing nothing but 'admin'" I'm having fun, playing, doing quests, yakking in chat, searching out my treasure maps and so on.

No, none of my horses are totally maxed (been playing PC since about 2 months after PC release).

    I'm not at max CP.

I'm not at max level (I think my lowest level character is 8).

    But.

I think I just might be having more fun than you are.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...

Yeah. I could be PvPing. Or even doing dungeons on alts. Oh, jolly good times, Ill spend 30 minutes to collect mail every day. Superb solution by Zos, not lazy at all.

This is a choise you make, and the same reason I don't have many alts.

People with many alts have a lot of advantages when it comes to writs, farming stuff and spamming rewarding dailies.

It's a choise to spread your time invested over several characters and I think it is good that it inherently carries both advantages and disadvantages.

On the other hand, you can deplete resources in no time if you start doing all crafting writs on all characters every day.

I tend to do enchanting and provisioning on all chars I log on, since these are only two crafting skills that will not eradicate your stacks of materials.

More writs means more maps/rescources. I can easily keep up four alts this way. But you might have a point.

Aldo didn't realize that this was a year old thread which got necro'd hard by Newrinmpls.

All bar clothier are a net monetary gain, if you take into account the price of materials spent: rubedite, rubedo leather and ruby ash cost 400-500 gold per writ and you get at least 600 gold from turn in, plus gold tempers, surveys and sometimes master writs. The only one that's a net monetary loss is clothier due to the 2/3 silk, and the price of that resource, but when you take into account the other rewards it's totally worth doing. I hope they make it 50% silk 50% leather since the latter is easy to get. I have huge stacks just from refining what drops from mobs in most content.

Yes, they cycle regularly. So you can drop one and take the next day. I've noticed that each character has a different offset for writs, but the proportion should be the same.

I believe that is true in your case. I however enjoy completing Hardmode trials, completing Vet Dungeons in 10 minutes and PVP. I do all that on multiple characters and PVP is awful on a slow mount so ya they need to fix their ***. 180 days per character is a tad ridiculous especially times 11. I’m only asking for them to make it quicker to feed a mount I really could care less about the hirelings I’m not trying to farm Matts I’m trying to have all my characters at max potential.

Amen brother! The sheer inconvenience of this games interface made me quit for a couple of months. Having to log off and juggle inventory bank and craft plus mounts. It's a time sink. Plus every loading screen ain't equal if you know what I'm saying. They put out a report that they would not increase inventory because everyone hadn't maxed bag space and mount space. Well. This so much this. No body has time for all that.

From a Classical MMORPG veiwpoint I would say that if you have that many characters then, well your kind off asking for spending a LOT of time doing admin work. as a person that has a ton of characters I understand this. Clearing mail and doing mounts and writs takes up about 2 hours when you do them on 20 characters a day.

That said, in this day and age i think that there is a better way to get some of these items out of the way with less interference to actual game play.

I think that ZOS should create an interactive mobile app that allows players to do limited functions on their accounts without being logged in on your gaming machine. limited functions such as checking mail, mount training, selling in a guild store, accessing guild chat, viewing character stats, trait research, buy from the crown store, etc. you know the basic easy tasks that you theoretically can do remotely pretty easily.

That would be a dream come true lol
