Battlegrounds have been in development for 2 years.

They can't even get queues to work. Its just disappointing.

BG is not as wide spread as cyrodiil and the hot fixes on pc are atleast helping little by little yet we are still on release patch with every bug

Even with today's update the BG queues are still broken. If you look at ZOS's track record with group finder, it's obvious they have no idea how to do such a basic feature correctly.

The saddest part is so many games have queueing that works perfectly, and the ones that have issues fix it so quickly. But here we are years later for group finder and it's still broken, and there were so many "fixes" since the PTS and the BG queues are still busted.

Don't hold your breath folks, the odds of this being fixed are pretty much zero.

That's sad that means if they can't get it fixed by next patch will prob have to eat another month or so for another attempt.

Nah, I'm done with this game since I only stayed for instanced PVP and ZOS has never been able to get the PVE instance finder to work.

We were fools to expect these queues would ever work.

Good luck getting refunds, I'm pretty sure all sales are final.

I agree. I'm tired of every other thread about console bugs being shut down by many PC players that essentially give us the finger for playing on anything other than a PC.

Cheer up folks, early reports from PC say the patch didn't fix anything anyways. They just deleted the "player declined" message and that's it. Oh and apparently solo queue is busted now too. So yay!!! We're looking at Dec 2018 before we can play BGs. Thanks Zenimax!

At the very least console should have some sort of PTS for console, or even PTS access on PC (using a controller). Most don't get any sort of feedback to up coming changes or patching.

Would be hard on PS4 since there's no test environment. Xbox has the preview program, which could definitely be used for a PTS. Probably not with character copies and stuff like that, but definitely with templates. The Xbox Preview program is the sole reason PUBG is coming to Xbox ahead of PS4.

Zo$ takes the easy way out for everything, not just for consoles.

I am a console player and hate the way I am treated. However it isn't because they hate console, it is because they constantly take the easy way out, without regards to how it effects the player base. They do this for big fixes, class balance, new game material, the list goes on and on.

Truely is a good game but simply run by lazy people.

Once again console payers don't seem to understand. There its a process to loading a patch, update or dlc to xb or ps. It had to go through Microsoft or Sony before it can be sent to you guys. Pc they do not have this limit, they simply push the patch and done. This is why toy guys get it after, not to mention there ARE slight modifications that need to be made to the coding and such when going from pc to consoles. I have been through the process for a company I use to work for and is a pain in the butt. So we used pc to test before sending it to consoles.

As for paying extra that's not zos but Microsoft and Sony charging you for live and plus.

I think you either misread or didn't fully read all the posts here. Everyone is well aware that patches on console have to go to certification. The issue is that this process does not take a full month. The process for certification of a patch takes no more than a week. For a patch the size of the one they just released on PC, it takes 2-3 days. Ubisoft routinely gets patches done in this time frame with patches of similar size. The duration can extend if Microsoft or Sony finds an issue, but if the patch is well built then it takes a week.

The issue we have is that today's patch isn't being directly submitted to Microsoft or Sony. Instead, they told us they are waiting to put it in the scheduled incremental. Which means it will be 6+ weeks after Morrowind launched on console before they even attempt a fix. @ZOS_BrianWheeler said they would push any fixes through immediately. Then Gina contradicted him and told console players they have no sense of urgency, and are sticking it a month out in a scheduled incremental. This is why console players are pissed. I paid for content. The content is broken. If this was another company, they'd push the patch to certification and we'd have it by 26 June. Instead, we are being told to pound sand because they don't want to push it through for an emergency fix.

No one is saying it should be live today, we are saying the middle of July is not acceptable.

Maybe another thing to add to the discussion: because of the different software packaging, console updates tend to be much larger than patches for PC.
So while I agree it sucks to get patches later, I really wouldn't prefer having to download updates for ESO every week.
And this is not because I'd have a bad connection.

Only a quick summary for Xbox One:

    1.7.0.0: 26,4 GB
    1.7.1.0: 12 GB
    1.7.2.0: 600 MB yay :)

True, but what's included in the packages matters as well. Consoles tend to get a summation of weekly(ish) pc patches all at once. A fix like this would be tailored specifically to the broken BG functions, so we'd be talking on the scale of one of the smaller patches (patch was 116 mb on PC). So it would likely be larger on console, but I doubt it would be over 1 GB.

Like i said we are not asking for weekly updates just that when major content has problems they put hit fixes out instead of waiting a month to group with other patches

I tried to sum up all the PC patches to compare PC vs. Xbox (comparing only same patch cycle) and never came to a result near the download sizes on Xbox.
Has to be something like the launcher on PC can patch specific files while Xbox has to download the whole file again.

Anyway, I see the problem with delayed patches, I only wanted to add that if Zos changed that, for sure you would see topics like "ahhh, change that, my internet explodes".

Again I'm not asking for weekly updates just then when game breaking bugs like BG que don't work that they put out a hot fix patch on its own and not hold us off till the next incremental patch make us deal eith bugged content for over a month some times

Oh completely agree there. All those changes where they change the animation on over world npcs and such can wait as far as I care. Its just when there's a key feature broken, that needs an immediate fix ASAP, not stuck in a incremental over a month from now.

And I'm not unreasonable, I see it from their point of view. Why waste money with a patch next week when you already have one scheduled 4 weeks from now. But when its a critical issue with a broken feature, that matters and it needs fixed ASAP. Be like your AC guy telling you to deal with your AC being out for 4 weeks because they already scheduled a maintenance for a month from now lol.

But there is lies a key problem that we highlighted. We are supposed to get this patch in mid-July. For a patch that didn't work. If they don't get the PC issues fixed until Mid-July, we are looking at August or September before its fixed on console.

Yes also this is a 2nd problem to console as we have different play styles and views from a couch console point of view yet we get to give no feed back unless we watch some streams case in point did console players know they tested console text chat on pc pts? Like I wonder how many of them even knew it was there or even bothered to try it. Console players should be able to log into pc pts if they have a computer
