Solo Stamina Build For New Player

I was hoping to get some advice in regards to a good stamina build for a newer player with limited resources and no champion points. I have a magic sorcerer around lvl 20 but I do not care for the play style. I generally prefer a character that can run into combat and take a few hits. I've seen magic Templar often recommend to for newer players but I was hoping for something that would utilize two handed sword or dual wielding. I was looking for a class that will be a capable end game farmer to support other characters that I'll likely create later. I don't have much of a preference in regards to the particular class and I do have Morrowind if a Warden build would fit what I am looking for. Thank you for any advice you may be able to provide.

Stamina Templar is pretty fun because you have a good pool of strong stamina skills and can get up close to enemy:

    Rally (2H)
    Crit Rush (2H)
    Executioner (2H)
    Brawler (2H)
    Biting Jabs (Temp)
    Binding Javelin (Temp)
    Crescent Sweep (Temp Ultimate)
    Power of the Light (Temp)
    Repentance (Temp)

    Also valuable:
    Caltrops (Alliance War skill line)
    Vigor (Alliance War skill line)

Then you also have a bunch of magicka skills for utility. I suggest using a set like Briarheart for starters because it will help you with self heals until you get really familiar with the build.

good choice above OP - a stamina templar is super durable - maybe not the greatest damage dealer in the world, but, definitely a fun character for getting up close and personal in combat...

i would also recommend wrapping your character in at least 5 pieces of heavy...

I went SnB on one bar and destro staff on the other - he's as close to a "hybrid" as I have right now...

Thank you for the recommendations. I had read about magic Templars though it hadn't occurred to me that they may be viable as a stamina build. I don't have much experience with the game at this point but I do enjoy the options available when building a character. I will certainly give this build a try.

Another thing to consider. I know you mentioned your desire to use a melee weapon, like 2H or dual wield, but at level 15 it wouldn't hurt to try out the bow as your back bar ranged weapon. You may find great success with the 2H and bow setup, as they compliment each other nicely. 2H can grant you major brutality, and bow can grant you major expedition. 2H is strong for single target, and bow has some nice AOE options.

The bow also feels really good on Templar when you use this single-target combination on an enemy: Posion Injection + Power of the Light + Binding Javelin. The poison eats away at them, Power of Light explodes the built up damage, and Binding Javelin sends them flying away from you.

Thank you for the suggestion. Having a bow as part of the build would be good. It will give me a ranged option if needed. Durability is perhaps my main concern as I tend to wade into things, especially in the dungeon areas. I found a template on Alcast for a stamina Templar build that actually uses a bow on the secondary bar that I will work towards. I don't rely on these templates to much at this point as they seem designed for top level players with access to certain gear and champion points. On a side note I do enjoy the game. I believe this is the first mmo I've played where your actions actually change the world after completing quests associated with an area.
