Sustain doesn't seem like a huge issue.

Xbox Player here.

I hopped on and after some tweaking of glyphs and such, sustain doesn't seem like a huge problem. StamBlade. I did like 27K or so before the update. Now I'm at like 26K maybe 25.5K? Which, honestly if I get better AT managing the sustain, I think I'll do more DPS cause I may not have the right points in places and stuff. Also my leeching Strikes is only level 1. That will help out when it raises too. Also.... I'm CP 330, so I can't complain.

Anyone else's thoughts?

It requires thought. With thought for most people, generally, you can overcome many intellectual hurdles.

You see, anyone actually able to log into ESO, play the game and create and level a toon has to have minimally average intelligence. Equipped with that, you can manage the sustain issues.

Those that cant, what can you really say to them? Perhaps this clip from John Cleese?

I started laughing at some of the comments in the text chat today. RIP to caltrops and sustain. So tested it in a public dungeon. Nothing different. A few tweaks in my CP and it worked the same.

It hugely depends on your location and playstyle. I play from australia with an average ping of 300ms. Doing VMA is incredibly difficult due to the lag. Many times abilities and bar swap key presses are pressed in time but dont register.
This means more emergency heals to recover from non registered presses or preemtive heals or shields to cover for that miss. The sustain changes make this incredibly difficult. I can't fire off my shield or heals early as I'll run out of magika. Same deal with having to heal after missing shield or other critical mitigation abilities.
I've changed both my choice of vma character, it's build and strategy but the line between having enough sustain to cover the lag versus dps to actualky kill everything is too narrow. It's incredibly unfun and I will likely not complete it on most of my characters, let alone get a flawless run.
I can still faceroll overland and dungeons and if i was only doing that the new changes are bearable.
Tldr: For those in Asia or poor internet areas these changes really hurt at the twitchy end of the game.

Living in asia I really do struggle with the change. Getting better at it but yeah VMA is harder since update.

Yeah, that would certainly be a bummer.

Update: The only thing I have to say about the changes is that I just have to take my rotation I've done forever and tweak it. That's it though, so it just takes a little getting used to.

Can't be too bad. In PvP, we still have people dodge rolling 10 times in a row and sprinting to LoS break points while still being able to dps after.

You just need to weave 1-2 heavy attacks per rotation instead of light and it works out quite well.

Don't think I would go that far. I certainly have to be more aware of my leeching strikes and I do have to use heavy attacks, but it isn't bad. 26K - 27K dps as a CP 340 Stam blade with Hundings and 2 Fang doesn't seem too bad to me.
