PLS ZOS surprise us with at least a big lag-less PVE zones today (Morrowind release)

Everyone except the pre-order guys (we had early access) will be downloading the new Morrowind patch today, so hopefully the game will be playable tonight and not laggy as hell.

Pls ZOS surprise us and make us happy!!!

    I don't think the download servers are shared with the servers/shards/nodes hosting the games zones.

    If they are someone at ZOS really needs a slap.

    I'm sure it will be. Most major MMO games have different servers handling different jobs, one for file downloads/patches, one for the log in and then the one(s) holding the actual game we connect to.

    It would be very unconventional to have the ones running the game also distributing the game game files as it would cause the exact issues you mention.

    The download thing is only applicable to new players who have to download the game from scratch anyway, all existing players downloaded the exact same thing on 22nd - just Morrowind was only unlocked for those with early access. Everyone already downloaded it.

    (And when did the official release date change from 6th June? I've heard a few people say the date has changed but no-one was able to provide a link).

    The launch detail page hasn't changed as far as I can see. It still says

    "You'll be able to pick up your copy of ESO: Morrowind from your retailer on the evening of June 5, beginning at 9pm local time in North America. In Europe, the game will be available when retail stores open on the morning of June 6. Once you have your copy, you'll be able to pre-load immediately, so all you'll need to do is download the ESO: Morrowind patch once it becomes available."

    (And I presume a lot of that is for the Consoles since PC already has Morrowind downloaded and ready to unlock on the 6th)

    I thought all of that released on the 6th? Or is it just the balance patch incoming?

    That's exactly what I thought, 6th June was still the official release date. I just keep seeing people saying it is today though, and I'm confused about that.

    yes, but then it was because of more players jumping to the new content that day.

    I don't honestly know where the idea has come from. Someone said it in my guild chat today, and someone has said it here, but every official word on it that I can find says official release is 6th June. I'm just really concerned now that there will be some people getting home from work today and being disappointed.

    LAg? nope i don'T get any, if i get some lag peak once per 2 weeks, that'S good, so on my side, no need to complain about that, besides Cyrodil when zergs are going on, i lower my graphics and all is good, but that's it, i still had lag issues back then in WoW doing 40 mens Dungeon Raids.

    The lag is due to the increased volume of player activity. It'll die down in the weeks ahead

    yes, so that is what I was asking ZOS to do, to reduce this lag by increasing server capacity/power
