If patch notes are released today I'm thinking I will avoid the forums. Folk already asked when patch will be available and I predict a massive wave of whinging regarding the DL, downtime for quick fixes and game working or not working.

I don't think so.
It's not just a matter of sustain changes.
A lot of things are changing, in terms of class skills. Wait and see, the rants of Templars (Both Mag and Stam), StamBlade and DKs will start flooding the forums.
I followed all PTS threads on every single patch notes release from v 3.0.0 and I think that a lot of players will be shocked when they will realize how their unique class abilities have been gutted.

Already adapted.
Still the changes make the game less fun to play for me personally. Nothing more nothing less. The changes make for a different playing experience and not an improved one.<Noricum>

It's not so much sustain people will complain about, but rather a loss of combat complexity, as the previous fast-paced rotation-focused PvE builds will be dumbed down in favour of easy-to-play heavy-attack-focused builds. I mean they could have snuck in some revisions to the sustain, but it seems like they are pretty set on going ahead with this, despite a lot of people's apprehension towards what the sustain changes will entail.
Will ESO survive it? Of course, but what it means for the endgame community will likely be devastating, as we feel ignored in favour of new players. Already a lot of people have left the game simply due to the infuriating ordeal that was the private PTS forum and ZOS' blatant ignoring of intelligent feedback posted there.0
